Today I want to share with you, Grilled Salted Mackrel.
I have a fillet of fresh Japanese mackerel, with the spine attached.
Japanese mackerel is lean compare to Norwegian, it tends to lose its fat and moisture while cooking, so I recommend purchasing the fillet with a spine.
It's an easy and simple recipe, but don't skip the process making a good grilled mackerel.
・4 servings (1 fillet of mackerel cut into 4)
1 fillet of mackerel (200~250g)
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

I run out of kitchen towel when I was making this meal, so I used my hair dryer - made in Japan- to keep to the Japanese theme. However, I burnt the fish on an open grill in my garden and my neighbor who is always loitering in front of his house smoking, was not amused by the smell. I may have not triumphed in making the exact meal as you princess, but I enjoyed making/burning it. Luckily, I had 3 slices of pizza left from many moons ago to go with the salad. I may not made the most exquisite meal princess but I gave it a stab.

thats a lot of salt + with the soy sauce. not complaining, i love salt. just curious if japanese people drink a lot of water to balance out the salt intake?
@kitchenprincessbamboo
@kitchenprincessbamboo 3 жыл бұрын
It's not salty as you think. About 1% of the saltiness is an average seasoning ratio. And we eat it with rice with no salt in it. Thanks for the comment!
