That was my exact thought .. I don't hate the build .. but I'd go 125 or 250cc 2 stroke .. maybe something off a salvaged Yamaha YZ.

Very cool! Altough that exhaust looks to be in a really bad spot, seems too easy to get burned. I'd make it go under the seat sooner, plus you guys have a pipe bender, should be pretty fast to do.

When they're finished spend more time showing us it. Close up and pause the movement so we can see things clearly. Engine mounts. Exhaust. Brake calipers. Suspension mounts etc.. Love your work.. Great seeing old machines coming to life again and being used.. 10/10

Sounds like there’s something wrong with the clutch? What’s the squealing noise? It comes and goes with the clutch lever engaging/disengaging. I’d be nervous about that frame, too. I wouldn’t trust it if there’s a chance you’ll get airborne.

Circle pipe always better. Stronger than square tube and you could have done all the work with tube bender rather than cutting at every bent shape...

Everything looks good except the silencer fitting, as it's very hot 🔥 and will burn inner thais of ridder, so it should be underneath the seat through frame.

I watched each piece being made. And each time I said to myself, "What's that supposed to be??? Then each piece was installed and I would exclaim, "Oh, I see! Great!" How about a nylon bushing on the swing-arm axle, to protect it from the chain scraping across it during operation? Also, what size engine there?

Get yourself a Miller or a Hobart welder, you won't believe the difference. Don't get a Tweco welder unless you want to have to return it multiple times before you get a good one.
