My neighbor Mrs. Yoshioka was too old to do her yard work so I did it for her from time to time. Every time I did it she would offer to pay me but I would refuse any money. She knew I loved Inari Zushi. She made the best Inari I have ever had and since. It became a tradition that every time I wanted Inari, I would do some yard work and I knew I would get it. She has since passed away and every Inari I have today is compared to hers. No one has even come close.

what makes the difference, inari just rice and tofu skin
@LinRuiEn
@LinRuiEn 8 күн бұрын
@@herrys6752 you have to season the rice and season the aburaage, which can change the flavor a bit. Also I have had Inarizushi where they have not adequately gotten the oil off of the aburaage, which can change the flavor completely.

I love inarizushi! Thank you, Justin, for requesting this recipe. I love this type of inarizushi, and I also hope you'll make another video and show us other variations with more ingredients. It is extra-delicious with other ingredients added to the rice! Thank you so much, Shinichi and Satoshi. I am grateful for your videos. :-)

So growing up, eating cone sushi (this what we call it in Hawai'i) was a favorite thing to do. There was an Okazu place at the end of the street where my grandmother lived. The cousins would be at Grandma's doing stuff for her. After we were finished she would give each of a quarter to go up to the Okazu place and buy 2 cone sushi. Our Japanese Auntie would also make them for us. She put shredded carrots and shredded green beans in the rice before filling the cone. Also the aburage would be cut in a triangle instead of in half and filled to the top, we didn't fold anything over as you did in yours.

I'm not a big tofu fan, but inari was one of the first tofu items I liked. I usually like to end a sushi meal w/ a few inari, krab salad or tamago. It's also one of the few grocery store sushi items I'll pick up as a snack.

Okay guys, you asked for feed back and here we go. Firstly these sushi are one of my favourite. They're nice and simple and I don't need to worry about 'going off' as with fish. My good lady was very interested in watching this video and learned one or two tricks thanks to you. One is about boiling to get rid of the oil and the second is to make the rice into a cylinder and then poke it into the pocket. Previously she was just shoving the rice into the pocket and causing damage. So now she know. Thanks guys. Ita ducky masu.

I love Inari! I discovered it by accident about 12 years ago in a Japanese store in Indianapolis. They were selling the skins with a pack of vinegar for the rice- it was a DIY kit. So I bought it and fell in love right away! I love to order it when I go to sushi restaurants and I like to use the kits when I can find it. One of my favorites!

Thank you guys so much for making this video! Inarizushi is my absolute favorite! Growing up, my grandmother made them but only for holidays so I didn't get to eat them very much. It was like a holiday treat! Of course, now I can eat them almost anytime I want. :) I have to confess that my grandma cheated a little bit and used the canned aburaage (inarizushi-no-moto), but she also put vegetables like carrot and bamboo shoots in, so I (and I'm sure others as well) would love to see more variations! Thanks again and you guys are awesome!!!
