im a newbie, so im a bit lost on your diagram. Was wondering if you could do a breadboard diagram? perhaps using Tinkercad? Thanks.

Sorry to bug you. just wanted to know, the output signal from the photodiode, i saw some people takes from the anode, and some takes from the cathode, any differences? i wanted the output to be positive (v+), so that i could feed into LM393 (+ pin3). resulting LM393 (output a v+). if that makes any sense.

Your schematic seems to be missing something. I saw only 1 LED in the diagram.

Not nessecery in diagram.. It's a simple thing..this LED is directly connect to the power.

@@KMCelectronics thanks. from your diagram, the photodiode polarity is N and not P right? the one that goes into the LM393 [ + ].
