Hey family! You can GRATE or FINELY SHRED the Potatoes!! We made a mistake and said “grated” but in this video we definitely SHREDDED! Either works wonderfully! *ALSO- to set your pudding, let it COOL and then put it in the fridge to solidify! Keep it refrigerated!

Another spin you can try also is wash the potatoes properly and boil them instead of grating it. When ready to bake , the time will be less.

When I was little and lived in Flushing one of my childhood friends were from Jamaica. Sometimes they would share some food while I waited for them to come out and play. So I know some good Jamaican dishes. Very underrated IMO is Jamaican cuisine, it's more than beef patties.

My daddy used to make potato pudding, which is one of my favorite desserts. I was the grater, so you best believe I ate my fair share of pudding. Although I would watch him, I never truly learned how to make it. He did a thing where he added a scotch bonnet to his. It was sweet with a little kick. He's at an age now where he simply can't make it and I want to take up the torch. Well, I just discovered this channel and instantly fell in love. Big up to Deddy and family and thanks for sharing. This video brought back memories and helped me remember some of what my dad did. One love.

I'm from N CAROLINA and raised in the country and raised up eating sweet potato pudding and my mother made it similar to this, I can tell we had african roots the way you make it, my mom added flour, white sugar, extra butter and eggs, spices, vanilla and baked it, it was delicious no custard but I'm sure it's good the way jamaicans fix it.😋
