Egg salad tucked between slices of white bread, Japanese egg sandwich or Tamago Sando is a timeless snack you can find in every convenience store in Japan. The filling is creamy and bursting with a rich egg yolk flavor and the bread is soft and pillowy. Some claim it’s the best egg sandwich they ever tasted.

4 slices Shokupan (Japanese pullman loaf bread)
salted butter

¼ tsp sugar
¼ tsp salt (kosher or sea salt; use half if using table salt)
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp milk
2 Tbsp Japanese mayonnaise

What about Arima Kousei? He likes his egg sandwich to be made with farm-fresh eggs from free-range chickens, and light on the mayo and salt to bring out the deliciousness. 🤤

I did this exact recipe except I blended a quarter of the eggs and mixture in the blender and mixed with the rest of the eggs. It came out very creamy with chunks. Omg love this recipe!🤗😊😁
