Real Künefe is made with جبنة حلوة. It’s kind of sweet cheese. Cream cheese is too sour for this desert. Just like if you use cream cheese instead of Mascarpone to make Tiramisu!

Hello there. kunafa dough is just everywhere here in UAE. So it's easy to find it 😅 And the cream cheese i used was just a normal cream cheese. i don't use expensive brand. Just any normal cream cheese probably would do 😊

This is turkish food. Real name is "Künefe". I love künefe.

It is not only Turkish though. It is prepared in many middle eastern countries. I heard that it originated in Palestinian areas first and spread to other countries in that area including parts of Greece and turkey.
