Yes mushrooms are unpredictable this system will get a much higher number than others. Mushrooms spread on cobblestone quickly it could even appear on top the observers.

As someone who enjoys redstone on bedrock, I approve of the mushroom farm, except maybe put slabs on the observers so mushrooms don’t spawn on them. Also, pistons do not have a preferred tool to be broken, similar to mangrove roots when they were first added.

to answer your piston breaking question, they're intentionally given a little bit of resistance even with an eff 5 pickaxe so you don't accidentally mess up your red stone build by breaking the piston too fast

Great video as always, ibxtoycat, but i believe that my villager unaliver 3,000 is the ACTUALLY most pointless farm in Minecraft... It's a villager breeder that pushes baby villagers to 1 of 3 absurd unaliving chambers.😂🤣🤣🤣

it's still pretty funny. One part unalives them by moving them by flowing water into a 1 block pit and i flip a lever to drop them on magma blocks and fire/soul fire. Another one is a bubble column they fall into and magma blocks pull the villagers down until the magma or drowning damage gets them. the 3rd one is a 1 block pit they all fall into, and i pull a lever in the giant cave below and the emerald block they are standing on is moved by a sticky piston, they fall on a magma block, panic, and jump off and go splat at the bottom of the cave. All 3 chambers have the same emerald block and sticky piston floor so a bunch of villagers can gradually fall in, and all get unalived at the same time.🤣🤣🤣

The brown Mooshroom is the best suspicious stew source. All you need to farm are the easy flowers for your desired stew. It is easy enough to start with a red Mooshroom and place a lightning rod in the middle of its pen. Golden carrots are my go-to food source for anything dangerous. Carrots and gold are easy enough to farm on Java. I can see the gold farm being harder without the Nether roof, but it is still doable. I usually eat fish when I am building and farming. I don't usually eat beef unless I need the leather.

Back in my XBox console days I had a nice automatic mushroom farm. Now the fastest way is making giant mushrooms apparently. Manually or redstone assisted bonemealing and chopping them down with an axe will get stacks of shrooms in minutes.

hi toycat, bedrock doesn't have a preference for mining pistons, but the sword would be faster because swords mine things slightly faster for some reason(this is easily noticeable when testing on dirt)

New seed for you to show off: -2183456245950831013. There's a pretty valley at 150, 73, -200. A village at -260, 111, 120. And a ruined portal at -420, 69, 190. edit 1: And a Pillager Outpost at: 290, 64, 500. (I won't mention anything with x or z > |500|) edit 2: Forgot to mention valley has cherry biome in it. Also, there's a trail ruin at 305, 72, -415.

Mines pretty sweet too , 5626705193186315220 , spawn near a bamboo jungle/ a mangrove swamp other side of the mountains less than 100blocks away from spawn,(or just go right from spawn&follow the shoreline, u can't miss it) a half jungle half plains village at 216,69,248 , straight down is a HUGE dripstone cave & within 200blocks turns to a lush cave, and all kinds of cool stuff close by if u check chunkbase, have fun you won't be disappointed✌😺 edit: I haven't been to the nether yet, I started this world on hard, and hard is hard.

Hey I don’t know if you read comments this late after a video is posted, but I came up with a mushroom farm design that would save you some resources!* You could put the mushrooms/dirt in a 2x2 so you only have to use 4 observers/pistons instead of 8, and then there isn’t the possibility of opposite pistons firing at the same time and bugging out. You could also use mud (in the grow area) and put a hopper underneath so items can be directly collected. Last thing, you could use glow lichen for lighting so you can see but also don’t disturb mushroom growth. I don’t know how I could send any screenshots but if you’re interested let me know! Also I hate to mention it this late but I’ve been watching your videos for several years now (~2018) and I only now realized I wasn’t subscribed 😅 Now I can cancel my house fire insurance *hoppers are more expensive technically

I made a rabbit stew farm that utilises the trick of when you kill a villager when it's showing something in its hand, it has a chance to drop that item. So i used a villager breeder, smokers to turn them into butchers, an afk platform in front of them to hold an emerald, and a trident to slowly poke and kill them.

Fish the boat to yank it toward you if on land. I like the water bucket method Toycat used to unstick it to bounce vertically. I'll have to try that sometime. Tnx

@toycat, pistons do not have a preferred tool, so all tools take the same time as your hand. Glass is also like this (but ice prefers a pickaxe)

I'm sure I'm not the first to point out that it's way easier to get mushrooms from growing giant mushrooms on mycelium/podzol. But I don't know of a way to automate that. Something TNT-based?

i made a pumpkin pie farm which costs more resources than steak, gives the same amount of hunger back (4), but with half of the saturation.

Outro joke would be more amusing if this whole “X” thing were an April Fools joke, haha, got you! (August Fools?), but is not, in fact, funny, 2/10. I just spent the weekend camping in my preferred fashion, in a cabin with a toilet, sink, A/C unit, and electricity! 😊 Glad you are being able to do some stuff just for you again, Toycat; I’m looking at a couple decades (once younger kid is 18) of being able to do things just for myself, and interestingly, expect to spend a lot of weekends doing this kind of camping! I find a campfire in nature relaxing! 😌

In the newest preview, pistons are the right tool to mine a piston/sticky piston.

The fun part is that the original sticky piston configuration would've worked on Java, except it doesn't on Bedrock, because sticky pistons on Java only move blocks the one way when activated via observer, while on Bedrock they actually stick. Though on Java the redstone dust would've broken because the piston extended (though one could use a solid block instead of the redstone dust to carry power). Too bad that this system it will work perfectly for months probably before both sides activate at the same time and one gets pushed back, leading to half the mushroom farm not working anymore. At least I think that extended pistons on Bedrock can be pushed? They're definitely immovable on Java, but maybe not on Bedrock? Could be the farm will work great and not break from that.

I found a bedrock glitch and I cant get the bug reporter to work so I thought this was the best place to put it for some one with no real social media but if you are in a nether portal on the over world side and you sleep before you teleport you will go to your location in the over world in the nether
