I know that dust has you coughing and hacking at night. We’re dealing with it bad here in southeast PA. Record heat and drought, water trucks hit the site and dries right up in 2 minutes

We have two trucks spaying the job. Mostly for the loaders and backfilling crew.

Just get your workers temporary hard hats and vests and a few big magnets that you can put over the business logos then only use that stuff when your video is being made pre planning. Then remove magnets when done.

I have thought of that but the cost it way too high. KZfaq doesn’t pay that much.

So what are you looking at or how do you make your trench straight and stay on line after every set?

How would you compare that Deere to a cat or case? At that size and cost I’m imagine they’re pretty much all just as capable as each other.
@TheLeverMonkey

well the SK500 was bought to replace our ageing John Deere 450's. I would take the John Deere if it was newer and the AC was working. I am not a fan of the Kobelco line. But it is all I have to work with at this point.

That dust won't be doing your health any good I'm assuming a/c doesn't work and that's why the window isn't shut
@TheLeverMonkey
@TheLeverMonkey 2 жыл бұрын
AC works just fine. The window up is jus a old habit. I close it if the dust is hitting me in the face. But in this case I do it for the GoPro.

Did You guys (local 3) get a nice raise on your contract due to inflation?

Yes we did. $2 on the check. $0.50 on vacation pay and $0.30 sprinkled on the rest. I wish more went to the retirement.

We get all the left overs from the bay area. So this Kobelco Sk500 was pretty new for me. I was able to dig up to 250ft an hour on the water line between man holes.

Well, I was union for 40yrs., the one thing I did get from them was good pension, the thing I didn't like was the guy's who came out, the "Brother" member's who wanted to play game's, and do anything but their job, I mean they worked harder at not doing their job, and the hall protected these clowns, and all it did was make my job harder , and trust me I worked hard enough, people don't understand that in construction you have to perform, like it or not, if the contractor doesn't make money, you don't have a job. That's the cold fact's. Don't get me wrong, the contractors aren't perfect either, so the union is a "necessary evil". In the end when I retired, the union didn't do me any favors, and I was a good employee , worked for the same company for 32yrs, you don't do that in this industry without doing your job.
