Teaching about selling products/services and using skills, instead of "easy money" talks, like "being rich with few steps"... You're in the right direction

Love your comments on #3 Julian. For years I've been figuring out how to make reports and dashboards more effective at improving ecommerce sales (my specialty). At one point I remember being in a discussion with a CEO about why the number of ad impressions had gone down 10% that particular month. Today I've learned my lesson and help clients to understand what data they should focus on, and what to ignore. That approach brings so much more value vs a data puke.

Can you guide a freshman how to build an analytics business with available tools and what portfolio will be need to catch clients attention and create business from it?

Excellent topic, Julian! Not only is this a great outline of services a data analyst can offer, I think I can use this to help explain to some people just what it is that we do for a living. :-) I can tell sometimes when I explain it to them that they don't really understand the business impact of web analytics, or even how the technical side ties into the reporting aspects. Awesome! Would share more on how to price the service? Once I've tried a Income Sharing Agreeement, but It didn't workout. We ran the project for three months, but sellers couldn't achieve more Sales, for different reasons.

Nice video Julien. I also find clients who request Web analysts that can code in R or Python for predictive modelling. The role of the Digital/Web analyst is definitely evolving.

This is a useless video in which the presenter makes a ton of assumptions about the client, available data and its use. It is in effect a useless video unless you fit squarely into his assumptions.

Really appreciate your videos. One small suggestion: you use the word "he" when describing clients, engineers, etc. Would be better if you used a non-gendered word -- women work in marketing / analytics as well ;)
