They have applications in security, occupancy detection, energy-saving, wildlife monitoring, and robotics. PIR sensors work by detecting changes in infrared radiation patterns. They have a specific range and angle of detection. Motion detector projects with PIR sensors can have project reports and require specific materials. PIR motion sensor projects with Arduino and documentation are available in PDF format. Motion detection using PIR sensors can also be simulated with Tinkercad.

The single spike of the pulse of the motion sensor can't be used as a triggering signal for the 5v relay! Use transistor in between the spike pulse and relay triggering point.
