I bought a crashed and blown up little motorcycle and set about converting it into a simple everyday no frills runabout. That meant binning all the mostly broken plastic (it's a 2020 Honda CB125F).
However, there are a few bits under the seat which don't look very pretty so I thought I'd make some side panels to hide it all. I used some flat 2mm sheet aluminium I picked up from my local auto store.
It's great material to work with, quite forgiving and easy to bend into the shape you want.
Deciding the pattern for the holes was a nightmare, I'm terrible when given free rein to choose.... I'm very happy with the results though, what do you think? Better than the normal 'fantastic plastic' you see on most bikes these days?
