You got it perfectly right. The procedure and ingredients are complete. A little correction which I know is a slip of tongue is you calling Utazi leaf, Uziza leaf. Love your recipes as usual beautiful sister

Well done Dearie 👏 ✔ 👍 🥰🥰For a more healthier version the potash is now substituted with woodash ..It really works well too.It is also readily available on the local markets...Keep Smiling 🌹🌹🍇😍😍

Thank you. I was also looking for an alternative to potash.. What's the local name for woodash please?

Potash(akanwu) is only used as a thckner, why not use corn starch which is the best thickner in the world, corn starch is what the westerners use to thicken their soup, you simply put a spoon or two in a cold water to dissolve and then add to hot dish, it will thicken, you can even add more according to the consistency you desire, I have been using it to make isi ewu and Abacha ncha for the past 10 years, no stomach upset for me. Sometimes we should change traditions.

@@viokand that's good if it works for you too.But we use wood ash here and it doesn't cause stomach problems at all.
