Thanks for the tutorial! If you want to automatically scale the array count to the path length, you can set 'Fit Type' to 'Fit Curve'. Edit: you also need to tweak some other stuff, like the 'Relative offset' so it follows the path.

This only works in 'Object mode' but as soon as I go into 'Edit Mode' the mesh is reset not following the curve. The base mesh is also strange in 'Edit Mode', just the first piece that is editable.

This is how it works. only first mesh is editable.But, if want to see it in edit mode. You can do this. Under modifier properties panel, You have to enable on cage option from array modifier and enable on cage as well as edit mode option from curve modifier.

first turn on material preview by pressing z then select material preview then click on material properties (you can find it in properties panel ) then click on new then under base color change its color whatever you want.

@@iqbalqotur6597 you can do with shape key easily. you can also do with bone. But, With bone is long process.
