If you're looking for DIY fairy garden accessories to make, what is more perfect in a fairy garden than magical toadstools? I show you how to make polymer clay mushrooms, both the magical kind and the muggle kind.
Whether you're looking for polymer clay ideas, fairy garden ideas, or fun fairy craft ideas, you've come to the right place. My mind is filled with such ideas. I'll warn you now though if you watch too many of my video tutorials, you just might become as obsessed as I am with all this artsy fairy garden nonsense.
Here's the link to my video about How to Bake Polymer Clay:

Thank you so very much!:) Yes, I'm sure you can relate to the time!! There are hours and hours off camera,- then the video production that takes even LONGER lol, at least for me anyway. I'm figuring it all out as I go along I guess. I had to laugh a little when you mentioned that your mushroom friend's eyes yellowed w baking because I had the exact same thing happen.I was heart broken; It took 2 months to sculpt it. Painted over mine too. :/ That's why I had to use a heat gun to bake the liquid clay at the end of octopus video, lol- wasn't going to chance it again! Live and learn. Recovering from unplanned circumstances comes with crafting I suppose. Your eye paint job came out great!! Love your creativity on video production- It's phenomenal! I've been working on my first video using voice narration this week and trying to make the videos more interactive; that's how I came across yours. You've got that part down girl! They are so fun to watch and very engaging and inspiring. Love it. Keep going full force ahead!! Can wait to see more!

Wow, thank you so much for the encouragement! I'm amazed at the amount of time required for what seems like a simple 5 minute tutorial. You've got to really love to create creations, and create videos. I do love both, a great deal... time will tell where this adventure takes us, right? The eyes were so disappointing, but all is well that ends well. Funny you painted over yours as well... yes, I was thinking you were a very smart woman using the heat gun on your octopus. I'll look forward to watching your narration video. When do you expect to upload it? I'll check your channel. :) Your kitty cat is super cute and your passion for creating is inspiring.

Hi Amy, Yes, it was the Magic-Glos... did you have a similar experience? Lately I've been using a couple coats of Triple Thick Brush On Gloss to glaze my eyes and I like the results much better. Well, not my eyes, that wouldn't be good, I mean my doll's eyes. Too early in the morning to English.

I’m 34, Married with 2 boys and a beginner and I just bought A Air drying set of 26 colours x2 as I want to make a Butterfly / Fairy garden but needs to be waterproof - I’m wanting in in memory for my son and daughter I lost. This is the description that was with my Clay I bought - but I have bought some clay tools just to help me out and iv bought some strong hold glue as I want it to stick to terracotta pots The type of Brand Of Clay I bought is “ Magiclay - Candy Colours (has black and white in the Kit also) Magiclay is a colourful lightweight, soft and elastic type modelling compound it air dries within hours resembling a paper-like texture. Keep Magiclay in the tubs provided to keep it airtight, as once left out it will dry fast. It will bond wet to dry, so you require no adhesives. No tools are required to mould it in to shape, as it can be pulled, stretched, rolled, shaped, cut, stamped and pressed to suit a wide variety of art projects. As I’m a MP soaper, candle and tart maker as well as other natural products I have Mica powder colours and liquid soap colours and candle candle blocks

I love your comment so much. It's just so encouraging to hear you got inspired to start sculpting and making minis. It's so much fun, and so rewarding. I know the feeling of getting done with a project and being so pleased with it, but then, after four more projects, you look back and you just don't feel the same about that first one. This is definitely an artistic journey, isn't it? Anyway, I love that you're so excited about creating.

Hi, 'Id never known the pointed swabs existed, or the curing oven, would have to watch again for other things that raised my eyebrows. I had never thought of using baking soda or powder as a baking bed for safely holding challenging shapes, etc. Your problem solving for reproducing the breadcrumb-like spots was clever and effective. As was your creative choice to have the troll's hands reflect the toadstool top in shape and coloration. You have a delicacy and sensitivity in your art. And your videos are wonderfully produced.

can i let it dry for about 4 to 5 days instead of baking it?? please answer this : )

Nur Mardhiah a little late but if you still need the answer it's no. Polymer clay needs to be baked. Use air dry clay instead and use paints for the details. Good luck!

Why did you add liquid sculpey?
@kattriella1331
@kattriella1331 3 жыл бұрын
Unbaked clay doesn't stuck well to bakes clay. The liquid clay has the same consistency as school glue, and it has the same effect, except instead of paper and glitter, it makes the clay stick together so it will stay on once it's baked.
