How To Make Popular Groundnut Soup Nigerian Way (Peanut Soup)
Nigerian Groundnut soup
ingredients :-
- Fried groundnuts well grounded
- Onions
- Salt
- Stock fish (Okporoko)
- Ugu
- Smoked dried fish
- Seasoning cubes
- Palm oil
- Crayfish
- Pepper
- Beef
Procedure-
* Thoroughly rinse smoked fish, beef and okporoko
* Chop the onions, blend the groundnut, blend pepper (these are all pre sets)
* Start by adding in the beef into the pot, then add onions, salt, seasoning cubes, pepper and crayfish.
* Add water
* Cook for about 5-10 Mins then add the smoked fish and stock fish inside
* Stir and cover to cook for some minutes.
* In another pot add in your palm oil, leave to heat a little then add in the blended groundnut
* Keep stirring it until it dissolves properly (if you don’t wish to fry yours you can as well just add it inside the stock and after it dissolves add in palm oil)
* Pour the whole stock into the dissolved groundnut
* Stir and check for taste
* Cover to cook for about 2-5mins
* Go in with the vegetables (the soup must have almost done before you do this because the vegetables shouldn’t be over cooked)
* Cover to cook for about a minute
* Food is ready!!
* Serve with swallow of choice!
