For drill machine always use push type switch not like spst switch. Otherwise drull bit slips like in the video. It can be dangerous also and can harm you.

It is little bit difficult to control the motor because you are giving the full power to it. You can attach speed controller so that it will be easy to adjust the RPM of the motor according to your requirement.
