Begleri is a small skill toy consisting of two weights on either end of a short piece of cord. They come in all shapes, sizes, and materials, and are used by flipping and spinning them around your fingers. They originated in Greece, and have recently gained popularity outside of Greece as a fun skill toy, and are also called worry beads for their calming effects.
I really hoped you enjoyed this video, and I really hope you will try this for yourself! These things really are a ton of fun, and can be quite relaxing when you get the hang of them. If you want to learn how to use them, check out Aroundsquare Ltd's, and tgpbegleri's youtube channels linked below!

1 John 4:
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Just discovered these thing this afternoon. I saw this video, and after a 15 dollar trip to the hardware store, I was up and running in about 15 minutes. Burned my thumb trying to pull the melted cord, but it was worth it!
@allangee
@allangee 5 жыл бұрын
Since you had the superglue anyway, giving the knots a couple of shots before trimming off the extra will make sure they never come undone, and you can skip the melting with a lighter part. Also, you can embed the knots in epoxy in the nuts -- they'll never come out. Nice tutorial!

I remember seeing similar ones in Thessalonika, Malta and Izmir. They were made with chain links and weighted end weren't nuts, but the same concept. These older gentleman were good at using them. They'd be drinking and talking and that thing never stopped moving. I never knew the name of though. Is it Bulgeri?

That's neat! The name I am familiar with is Begleri. Not sure if it was the same thing as what they were using or not. I don't know much about the history. Some great information is contained here if you are intersted :) www.aroundsquare.com/begleri/

I prefer monkeyfists around 1/2" ball bearings for quality, plus no need for glue, etc. I suppose it's not quite the same shape as the beads, but you could change that if it really mattered. But this looks great for quick n easy. I'd recommend gorilla glue instead of 2part just for ease, and use the lighter metal/back of finger nail to pinch hot nylon sooner so it bonds better.

Not sure exactly. If you have the cord, and the super glue laying around like I do, and if you skip the silicone tubing, not more than a few dollars. If you don't have any of that, it'll obviously be more expensive.

I think a finishing touch would be brass (gold colored) plugs that screw into the outside ends This would 1) hide the end of the cord and prevent it from sliding, and 2) give it a nice finished appearance.

Thanks so much! It's really personal preference. It doesn't really make a difference to play, only to how it feels. I prefer them like this now, but I used to glue them, it's up to you. Also the vinyl tubing fits the cord a lot tighter so they don't slide as much.
