This buffalo hot sauce recipe is extremely quick and only uses a few simple ingredients. It's best used for chicken but can be used as a regular dipping sauce for anything you want to spice up.

Skip the fresh garlic for powdered/granulated and add a quarter teaspoon of celery seed. The celery seed is absolutely going to blow your mind. Skip the vinegar too as there is already a ton of vinegar in the hot sauce to start.

Waut whats the reasoning behind celery seeds
@brandon5868
@brandon5868 20 күн бұрын
@@jesuisdomcobb Celery seeds, often overlooked in everyday culinary discourse, possess a rich history and a versatile nature that make them invaluable in the realm of sauce-making. Derived from the wild celery plant, *Apium graveolens*, these tiny seeds pack a potent punch of flavor and aroma that can transform the simplest of sauces into culinary masterpieces. Historically, celery seeds have been utilized for thousands of years, dating back to ancient cultures such as the Greeks and Romans, who valued them not only for their culinary uses but also for their medicinal properties. Fast forward to the modern kitchen, and celery seeds continue to hold their own, lending a distinct and complex flavor profile to various sauces. One of the most remarkable characteristics of celery seeds is their ability to impart a savory and slightly bitter taste, reminiscent of celery stalks but intensified. This flavor profile makes them an ideal addition to sauces where a depth of taste is desired. Whether it's a classic tomato-based pasta sauce or a tangy barbecue sauce, celery seeds can elevate the taste experience by adding layers of complexity. In tomato-based sauces, celery seeds complement the sweetness of tomatoes with their slightly bitter undertones, creating a well-balanced flavor profile that is both robust and nuanced. A pinch of celery seeds can turn a basic marinara into a sauce that sings with depth and character, making it a favorite among chefs and home cooks alike. In barbecue sauces, celery seeds play a crucial role in adding a distinctive savory note that cuts through the richness of smoky flavors. Their earthy and peppery qualities mingle with other spices and ingredients, contributing to the sauce's overall complexity and enhancing the overall barbecue experience. Moreover, celery seeds are versatile enough to be used in a wide range of sauces beyond the traditional. They can be found in salad dressings, where their unique flavor adds intrigue, or in marinades for meats and vegetables, where they contribute to tenderizing and flavoring. Beyond their culinary prowess, celery seeds also offer health benefits. They are rich in nutrients such as calcium, iron, and manganese, and have been used in traditional medicine to aid digestion and reduce inflammation. This dual role as a flavor enhancer and a health-promoting ingredient underscores their value in modern cuisine. In conclusion, celery seeds are a powerhouse ingredient in the realm of sauce-making, offering a unique blend of flavors and health benefits that enrich both traditional and contemporary culinary creations. Whether used to spice up a simple marinara or to add depth to a tangy barbecue sauce, celery seeds deserve their place in every kitchen pantry as a staple for creating memorable sauces that delight the palate and nourish the body.

If you like clarified butter may I suggest ghee? You can buy it at the grocery store and it lasts indefinitely on the shelf.
@ChefJackOvens
@ChefJackOvens 2 жыл бұрын
All clarified butter is ghee but not all ghee is clarified butter. Some are done differently to produce different flavours. Regular butter can mostly always be substituted unless your making an emulsion which the whey would cause it to split. Clarified butter and ghee also have a higher smoke point. 😊

Why so much butter? Is most of it just to make it less spicy (mild)?
@xinpingdonohoe3978
@xinpingdonohoe3978 7 ай бұрын
Unlikely. Frank's is so incredulously mild that nobody would need to make it milder. It's probably for a more creamy taste and smoother result that would better cling to the wings. That's my guess.

How much salt does salted butter actually have? Surely not enough to alter the flavor much.

It really depends of the brand but the salt that is used is the worst quality. It’s best to use unsalted and season it yourself with a good tasting salt
