Terrific idea, I’ll put it in my to do list, not sure I’d use particle as you can get the effects with micro displacement or bump. I check what I can do :)

Man thank you so much for commenting on my videos! Still struggling with those shaders, my computer really can only do that much, if I use Blender especially on same complex shader, I cannot record at the same time... even my tutorials some time took 3-4 takes because the screengrab stops to be recorded, so I am thinking of using some other computer to do a video and then maybe a voice over... thanks for your patience :))

Hi, thanks for the tip! If you want to enable some animated spinning for every single particle, go to the emitter settings, and inside rotation, there's a submenu called angular velocity, change the axis from 'none' to 'random' or 'velocity' for example, and crank the setting up to something like 10-20... Having said that, in our animation, there's no force field, and in theory in a vacuum, particles wouldn't spin but only follow the vector of gravity... imagine a falling feather! Also, you are completely right, the "animation" would certainly look more "realistic" with spinning as in confetti popping or moving in different directions, but if you take a single frame you couldn't really tell if they were spinning or not, or in which direction! So in my defence, I can say that I was trying to create a still image, where is good enough having the particles facing different directions, which is enabled in the tutorial, but I agree, it's very basic! If it shows in the viewport you may have a different issue, not baking. In fact I didn't bake the particles sim. Please share more details!

Of course, select the emitter, and in the "emission" the first setting is "number" which is the total number of particle that will be emitted, change it to whatever you need :)

You can change: the speed of the particles, changing their mass, or how much gravity affects them.

@@DanielOakfield tranquillo Daniel e grazie della risposta, i tuoi tutorial mi hanno aiutato anche se il mio progetto non è stato ancora realizzato, a tal proposito volevo sapere se una volta realizzata la cascata di confetti si possa esportare ed utilizzate in after effect , vorrei infatti tracciare una scena ed applicare la pioggia di confetti che ad un certo punto si bloccano creando quell’effetto di sospensione che mi fa impazzire, vorrei applicare ciò ad una scena di matrimonio di mia sorella 😁,se mi potresti aiutare gli farei un regalone
