EXCELLENT (as always!) I really highly admire your creativity, Ideas, skill (and storage full of beautiful branches):). I really like technical level of your videos as well, as right time dedicated to each of them (not excessively long, not too short), and nice speed of speech, too (I don´t feel myself as on a speed speech contest and so I have no difficulties to understand, what you are trying to explain). Thank you soooooo MUCH!

There is a store next to my work that stays packed full of people. The store only sells stuff to do with a game called War Hammer. Its very popular apparently and has 2 different worlds. War Hammer 4k and War Hammer Age of Sigma. They sell hundreds of different characters for each realm and also sell diorama kits. All the characters and dioramas come grey so they have to be built and painted which is half the fun apparently to the people who play it. I was thinking for your channel you should create a play list called War Hammer , do some research on each of the two different galaxies I think they call them and then show ppl how to build their own war hammer worlds. Apparently a lot of ppl can't afford to buy the characters and paint and scenery so they meet up and play on the kitchen table of what not but everyone in the store said they wished the dioramas were cheaper bc it makes the game more fun. A company/store called Games Workshop is who makes and sells all this stuff.. I bet if you showed ppl how to create their own worlds catering to the war hammer game players you would get a lot of views. Just a idea for your channel. Keep up with all the good work.

Thank you! I'm no stranger to Games Workshop ( Warhammer store now i believe ) i used to enter painting competitions at their stores, and have done commission scenery for gaming clubs often. Some of my early videos were all based around Warhammer and i hope to do more in the future. Thanks for the ideas, cheers!

Great indeed - as always. But I wonder about ground cover. You apply fine sand then tile grout and it looks nice. Why cover it additionally with this paste? It seems like it covers all previous effect of sand and grout. Can you please explain that?
@Paepercuts
@Paepercuts 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I add that layer as an extra layer of protection, it forms a hard shell and a good base to work from. Acrylic paste directly onto foam sometimes creates an unstable surface so you may get some chipping over time, especially if that foam is melted and hardened. The sand/ grout gives it a good grip. It is not completely necessary but something i do standard. Cheers.

Awesome tutorial! But how did you make the 6mm (and 12mm) grass jumping up to the base? Did you do some special trick? With my flockbox I was able to make only 2mm grass jump up, 6mm was stuck to the plate...
@Paepercuts
@Paepercuts 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Well several things you can try, i did a lot of testing before i got it to work. If you have the same flockbox as i do, you can attach a 12v adaptor to it instead of the 9v battery that provides a bit more power, although it worked for me with the 9v aswell. Also try placing the green cable endpiece close to the box, not attached to anything just near it. Try using 'Noch' static grass ( i've listed them in the video ) for the 12mm and 6mm. Companies use different materials for their static grass and this one worked best for me, whereas the 12mm from other companies didn't even move like yours. Hope this helped good luck!
@chrisshaw451

Superb, one question, you seem not to have the wire from the static grass box connected to the diorama base ?
@Paepercuts
@Paepercuts 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes i was amazed by this myself, the green cable only has to be connected. The metal plate creates the static charge which is also stronger than what you get from the cable. When using the red cable and the sift, then you need the green cable to transfer the static charge onto the terrain. Hope that makes sense i get dizzy reading my own green/ red cable-comment :p Cheers.

For diorama work I mainly use cheap craftstore brushes, usually synthetic as they are a bit more durable. A few large flat ones and some smaller ones fore finer work will get you started. Good luck and have fun!
