This recipe is a simple Goan-style beef curry, rich and flavorful with the fragrance of cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom, a bit of tang from tamarind and lemon juice , and with a good hit of spice from black pepper and dried, whole Kashmiri chilies.

So here goes the recipe from my kitchen to yours,
Ingredients :
Marination :
500 gms Beef (cut into medium pieces)
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
2 inch (12 gms) Ginger (crushed)
½ tsp Salt (or as per taste)
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
Soaking of Tamarind :
1 Lime size Tamarind
100 ml Hot Water
For the Red Masala Paste :
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds (sabut dhania)
12 to 15 Black Peppercorns (sabut Kalimirch)
½ tsp Cumin Seeds (jeera)
4 to 5 Cloves (lavang)
2 sticks Cinnamon (dalchini)
7 to 8 (20 gms) Dried Kashmiri Red Chillies
7 to 8 (15 gms) Garlic cloves
1 inch (5 gms) Ginger roughly chopped
75 ml Water (in total) - add water little by little while grinding
Other Ingredients :
3 to 4 tsp Vegetable Oil
1 medium size (80 gms) Onion (thinly sliced)
1 medium size (75 gms) Tomatoes (finely chopped)
3 nos. Green Chillies (slightly punctured)
Hot Water (adjust water upto the level of the meat in the pressure cooker)
½ tsp Sugar
Coriander Leaves for garnishing
Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbsp is tablespoon
