Great video! I have a question...I have a janome 4300 QDC and for that stitch, my machine will only go to the 4.0 in lenght. Not the 5.0. Does anyone know why? Again - I love to to the point demonstration!!!!

Hey Jordan, What kind of foot attachment should you use with the sashiko stitch? (I have a babylock journey). Thanks!

Hey Cece, i would just use the j foot unless it causes an issue which I doubt it will!

Interesting! I’ll try it on my Brother HC1850. I have the monofilament thread, would you share brand of bobbin thread you use on this tutorial? I have a perle size 12 but that’s for hand sewing. Do you think it’s too thick for the sewing machine? Thank you for sharing your Sashiko hack, would be very useful.

I have a Brother BQ2450 and found a stitch that works. I tried it with regular thread and filament which worked but it does need the heavier thread to get the same look as Sashiko thread.

Would be a great video if you held the focus on the stitches for a while rather than constantly moving.

Sewing machines should NOT be computerized. Electronics doesn't belong in sewing machines. Sewing machines should be purely mechanical, solid, with all metal gears and frame. Electronic sewing machines are plastic junk.
