This is a great fucking idea done nicely. Me and my group are gonna try to make lights for all of our cars that read Kaiju on the left and then the number on the right. Ex: Kaiju (left) No.6 (right) will def be difficult but seeing this makes me feel that we don’t have to do just decals but something more pleasing and unique.

Yup! Shoe goe helps after you have everything setup. This base has a pretty firm grip on the LEDs though, shouldn’t be an issue

You should sand the back of the eclipse decal and back light the letters. Make it stand out!

Why not mold and cast the housings and lenses? Use the molds to make them out of fiber glass or carbon fiber and you could customize the lense color using resin.

Why not use a company like pcbway to make custom pcbs to make the fab way easier?

I checked and you're charging 1300 for fully assembled and 320 for the diy kit. I don't know what the housings go for these days, but if it takes you 6 hours per light, that's 12 hours per kit. Even if the brake light assemblies are free you're charging a pretty low labor rate there. If you got pcbs custom made I would expect they'd be less than $100 a set and save you close to 10 hours per set. So you could charge quite a bit less, make them faster, and have a more robust product (the pcb would provide better insulation and add strength)
