How to Make: Shrimp Egg Foo Young

Ingredients: Serving for 4
**You will need a small pot of cooked rice
5 to 6 eggs
1-1/2 c. loosely packed bean sprouts
1 cup chopped mushrooms (optional)
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 lb small raw shrimp
1-1/2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1-1/4 tbsp. hoisin sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp. all purpose flour
3 tbsp. butter
2 c beef broth
Follow the tutorial, delicious.

Dear Ms. Chris I can't tell you just how much my husband and I appreciate you and this recipe. Being raised in Minneapolis, MN and going to a restaurant called Jan's Chow Mein, I have been chasing an Egg Foo Young recipe just like that. Since we moved to Southern California 33 years ago. Every Asian restaurant, I've tried never came close to Jan' Chow Mein, until this/your recipe. Since you posted this in early Aug 2018 this is my 4th time making it. 1st time, I made it word for word, It came out perfect. 2nd time I thought I knew what I was doing and improvised, it was just meh, 3rd time I made it word for word and again it came out perfectly. Now, today is my 4th and I made two batches because I want to freeze them in between parchment paper and make the sauce when thawed. Once again, I'm messing with perfection. Just know you have made two folks in So. Calif. very, very happy. I say all of this to let you know just how much we LOVE YOU IN THIS HOUSE!!!! Thank you from the bottom of our greedy hearts!!!

Follow up comment. I did the double batch and froze. It didn't taste the same. No more messing with perfection.
