This is how to make wired assist hooks for jigging. The wire I used in this video is 400lb Malin wire, so you can see better, 200LB is plenty strong for normal use, but if you can manage 400lb, go right ahead. I hope you learn a trick or two with this video, tight lines!

Great way to save money esp when using premium hdwr. I just spent $44.00 on 6 hooks! - 12/0 BKK deep heavy for vert jigging bluefin. I really like the confidence of twisting wire Vs. any type of assist cord. Thank you.

Those are actually cheap hooks outside of the US. There are better options from brands like Owner...

For a safety measure try using some clear plastic/ rubber on the hook point as a guard. Great video.

where do u buy your tackle from in the uae ? i never am able to find the small swivels

they are around, but hard to find. check in barracuda in shk zayed road, they have some from time to time.

@@mdibrar2935 budget depends on how much you are willing to spend. There are alternatives to everything. easiest way to catch a kingfish is not with jigs. it is with live bait.

the ones I use here for assist hooks are the thick size. there are thinner sizes.
