Kanom tuay or Kanom tuay talai is a traditional Thai dessert that has a sweet taste in contrast with a salty taste. The uniqueness of this dish is that it is served in small ceramic bowls with a small wooden spoon for taking out the dessert itself. Steamed coconut milk pudding that consist at two parts a sweet base of a custard like texture and a salty creamy topping
The layers are steamed in small cups or ramekins and then served - the contrast between the sweet base and the salty top is what makes these so distinct, and the texture is similar to custard but unique in its own way. • Rice flour 70 grams
• Tapioca flour 30 grams
• Palm sugar 130 grams
• Coconut milk 250 ml.
• Pandan juice 250 ml.
Coconut milk topping:
• Rice flour 30 grams
• Granulated sugar 40 grams
• Salt 4 gram
• Heavy coconut milk 450 ml.
