How to make Surmai fry | सुरमई फ्राय | King Mackerel |Fish fry | Shallow fry
Ingredients
For Surmai fry marination:
4 surmai / king mackerel pieces or as per your need
1 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste (see the link below)
1/2 tsp salt or as per your taste
1/2 lime or lemon
1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
1/2 to 1 tsp fish masala (Aagri masala, CKP masala, Koli masala, malwani masala etc) if you don't have that use 1/2 tsp garam masala + 1 tsp coriander powder. If you do not have any of these, then simply use red chilli powder
For fish fry coating:
1/2 cup rice flour + 1/4 cup sooji/rava + 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
