Thank you for sharing your whole experience, the good and the ugly. I learned a lot. Oh! Your recipe really called for MELTED butter?! I’m pretty sure that’s why your dough was so wet, and couldn’t be formed into without using so much extra flour. You’re a brave one, that’s for sure. Please keep posting.

Loved seeing your little dog in the video. :) You worked so hard on those biscuits, and the results look great. It isn't easy to learn to handle dough like that on your own for the first time. I use my great-grandma's recipe to make sweet potato biscuits--the recipe is different because it has yeast but the biscuits are so good.

Your biscuit dough should be an inch thick, don't manipulate the dough too much or you will have tough biscuits .put flour on your surface and dip your cutter in the flour after each, don't twist and turn just push down. You did a great job.
