Japan is known for its many delicious dishes and street food and one of the iconic Japanese food is the Takoyaki or Octopus Balls. The delicious ball-shaped snack is made from wheat flour batter and is usually filled with chopped octopus, scraps of tempura, pickled ginger and green onion topped with a sweet and savory takoyaki sauce along with Japanese Mayo and bonito flakes.
Here's my take on this popular street food that you can enjoy as merienda or even sell online as a homemade product.
Ingredients
Batter Mixture
1 Cup All-purpose Flour
1 1/2 cup Water
2 pcs. Medium Eggs
1 tsp. Dashi
1 tsp. Soy Sauce
Flavor and Toppings
250g or 1/4 kg. Shrimps
1 tsp. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 Tbsp. Onion Leeks
1 Tbsp. Bonito Flakes
1 Tbsp. Dried Shrimps
