The Lovely Clinic's main lady Dr. Sarah Tonks is joined today by Dr. Vidhi Patel 💕 Dr. Patel is a homeopath, doctor, and nutritionist who works with Gold Collagen - and today she's sharing with us the secret to the perfect turmeric latte.
A turmeric latte is a delicious alternative to coffee, and makes the perfect afternoon pick-me-up if you need a boost… It was a common beverage in the east for many years before it became so popular in the west.
⏱ Prep time (ready in 5-7 minutes) ⏱
☕️ Ingredients: ☕️
- 1 cup or 250ml - milk of your choice (almond, coconut, dairy milk etc.)
- 1 teaspoon - finely chopped fresh or dried turmeric powder (preferably organic)
- 1 tablespoon - honey, or more or less to taste (Manuka honey is best)
✋ Method:✋
- Warm your chosen milk in a small pan until just before boiling point.
- Stir in all the remaining ingredients, adding more or less honey depending on taste.
- Let is cool down for about a minute and then Pour the contents of pan into a blender and blitz until you have a nice froth on top of the milk.
- Pour into a cup and serve with some cinnamon drizzle on top. Enjoy it while it is warm for best results and great taste.
📖 More information: 📖
Turmeric is part of Ayurvedic medicine, which is a holistic, all-natural approach to health that has been practised for centuries in India. And while most of us would typically get our fix of the bright orange plant from curry, more and more people are turning to turmeric lattes to reap the health rewards.

Where’s the pepper? Turmeric won’t work without it. Also, either/or some healthy fat (organic coconut oil or ghee).
