From my experience pieces with lids drying in a plastic bag is the best way. It prevents the lids shrink too much and ending up not fitting correctly. I have so many jars with loose lids 🤦🏼💔 . I can recommend put the lid to the piece at the leather hard stage and put in a bag and forget it for a month 😅 I hope you will get the perfect fit🙏

We just leave it dry slowly inside room for a couple days.

@@somebody4578 I suggest to test the shrinkage of your clay and test the fit between body and lid. Different clas shrink different, in our case the body always shrink more than the lid
