This chocolate cake recipe is easy and simple to make and tastes delicious. I suggest to use a good quality cocoa powder because the cocoa powder you use will have an impact to the flavor of the cake. Adding coffee to the cake is optional but it enhances the chocolate flavor on it.

First of all , i would like to thank the owner of the awesome channel for the great recipies especially this one. I have written down the ingredients and method. Ingredients: 1 cup cake flour 1/3 cocoa powder 1 cup sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda Sift all dry ingredients Add then: 2 large eggs 1/2 cup full cream milk 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 tsp vanilla Mix all ingredients together Then add to the mix : 1/2 to 1 tsp coffee and 1/2 cup boiling water 1tbsp white vinegar Mix all again *Put cake mix in a pan and to the oven , temp 175 C for 40 minutes*. For Frosting: Turn stove on low heat and heat up 250 ml evaporated milk 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cocoa powder 1 tbsp plain flour When proper thickness , turn heat off and add 40 g of salted/unsalted butter. Phew...took me sometime to write down all ingredients and method , but there you go folks.

This was the second recipe I’d tried for a chocolate cake and I must say, I’ve stuck to it since then. Everyone who’s eaten this cake has loved it so much. It has so many flavourful notes. Today I made this cake. However, I misread the recipe and added 1 cup of boiling water instead of just half. As you can imagine, it was a disaster, but I was not giving up. I added some dry ingredients and I am very happy to say the cake still came out GREAT. No need for frosting because it tastes great on its own. Thank you so much for this recipe! #NeverGiveUp 😅

@@anu1877 you can get evaporated milk in a can at the supermarket. It's condensed milk that they sometimes add to tea or coffee

@@anu1877 just don't mistake it for the usual condensed milk. Condensed milk is more dense and very sweet, you can identify it usually by the dessert imagery on the cans or bottles. Evaporated milk is also a little sweet but not as much as condensed milk, and it isn't very dense, it's consistence is like midway between milk and a very liquid sour cream

I made this today and it was amazing! I just reduced the amount of sugar. I put 3/4 cup of sugar but still very sweet. If you don't like it very sweet I think just over half cup of sugar is enough for this recipe

OMG 😲 I have to hand it to you, this cake is so scrumptious! When the icing seeps into the cake overnight it transforms into killer cake. If you can refrain from having some the day it's made? If you appreciated this video, you may also want to know that Chocolate can get a bad rap because of all the added sugar it may contain. However, dark chocolate or raw cocoa nibs have 0-maybe 6 g of added sugar, if you’re buying 80-95% cocoa. Always check the ingredient label to see how much added sugar is present, and consider buying dark chocolate or raw cocoa nibs!

@@rainbowrain8047 same preparation but instead of oven i just used a preheated cooker and baked it in the cooker for 35mins. Preheat an empty cooker for 10 to 15mins. Then place the cake batter inside the cooker on a stand inside it. Keep the flame between low to medium and bake it for 35mins. And all done

MADE IT TWO TIMES ALREADY(without the chocolate sauce)!! I added melted butter instead of oil and reduced the amount of sugar to half a cup and it still came out super delicious and moist!! Also the perfect sweetness for me

Tasneem Baranwala the same as the oil in the video :) and I melted it to be the exact 1/4 amount as the oil

I was also thinking of melted butter because the veg we have here is King’s cooking veg oil and I don’t know if it’s the same they use for cake or they have an actual veg oil dey use for cake. I will try this out. Thank you so much.

@@emmawoods7890 no the coffee makes the chocolate taste even better! I’m not a coffee lover too but it definitely enhances the chocolate flavour, you can also lessen the amount of coffee if you like, the recipe says 1tsp but I just use half :)
