A beautiful quilt! You can trace the placement onto parchment paper then place that over the darker background fabric. You can then place the pieces to be fused under the parchment paper exactly where they belong because you can see through the parchment paper, and then fuse them through the parchment paper. It makes placement so much easier and accurate...no need to trace the whole thing just enough to give you placement clues.

I have ordered another quilt to go with the one from 10 years ago. Maybe now they will both get finished. It is fun and beautiful. Did not have the back for the first one to finish the quilt. Can’t wait.

I received my first block today and cannot wait to get started. I’m curious about one thing Tammy said about adding stitches after the quilting is complete. Can you show us the back of the quilt?

I'm a little confused about the small flowers. I have 6 green blocks. I have enough colors to make 2 double flowers. Are the remaining bottoms supposed to remain single? Also, I have extra small pieces. Please let me know how all the little flowers go together. I've completed the large block and it's beautiful. Thanks!

Hi Nita - I do believe that we accidentally sent out two extra centerpieces with Block 1 shipment. Regarding the smaller flowers being sewn together - you'll receive the border/finishing instructions with your final shipment in this program. Hope this helps! -Michelle

Question regarding thread painting. Are the feed dogs down when one is doing the sticking? Tammy was moving the fabric pretty easily which makes me think they might be. Also, will there be more video's when the project starts? Thanks for your time.

Hi Colleen - We're not anticipating creating more tutorials for the Full Bloom BOM quilt. Tammy did have the feed dogs up during the Thread Painting portion of this. If you want to do free motion quilting, you can put them down. Hope this helps :) -Michelle

Question: What size thread do you use on your bobbin ? The same 40 wt or can I use 50 wt. ?

Hi Jeni - Tammy does use a 40wt in her bobbin in this tutorial, but you can also use a 50wt if you prefer. Hope this helps! -Michelle

Was she using a zigzag stitch or just a straight stitch going back and forth?

What kind of fusible bond is on the back of the flowers?

We used a stabilizer called the Totally Stable Iron - On, Tear Away Stabilizer. We are currently out of stock of this stabilizer. Thank you for your comment! - Abby
