How to Make the Most Out of an Ugly Log

In today's video we are going to show you guys how we make the most out of an ugly log. We are cutting another white oak log for the same customer that wants them quarter sawn. This log was not good for quarter sawing, so we changed how we were going to saw it to make the most out of it.

On that log with the crotch, is there any way to keep the main pith somewhat centered to yield more stable and straight lumber after drying? I do enjoy watching your videos and comparing your sawing style to my own to improve my methods.

I guess if you wasted some more of the log to try and center the pith. I would prefer to just flat saw it off center. Thx for watching and commenting 👍

Let me ask why you aren't carrying protection? I'm too old to fight, and I'm not running. We have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms in America. I wish more people would carry and look after their own protection instead of relying on the policeman whose never around when needed. It's my responsibility to protect and provide from my own no one else's . Thx for asking
