So I am an absolute beginner and I am having trouble with my edits. No matter how much detail I put on my edits, the photo still looks realistic and badly done. So I have a few questions. What's the point of smudging? How do you get perfect lines when outlining a body part in black? Why do artist use custom brushes? How long does it take to become decent at m.e? How long does 1 edit take?

Okay i stopped editing a few months ago but heres the answer's to your questions~ T-T 1- Smudging helps the edit be more clear,but for some user's,the smudge button doesnt work properly and there are some rainbow lines,so use blur tool if the above happens with you. 2- Try to draw the lines in one try,dont stop then do it again,also apply gaussian blur 1-4 3-Artists use custom brushes( which they make on their own) for their edit to look as they want it to look 4- idrk the meaning of m.e,but if its editing,probably one to two years 5- Edits usually take one to seven hours( average) Hope this helps! If you need more inspiring editors,search Mijadrian,AESTAETIC and others.
