I think the biggest criticism of the preview articles is that they don’t get existing players to play… and people outside of the Warhammer ecosystem don’t read WarCom articles

Clean Skaven all the way. I attended the Skaven Painting Experience at Warhammer World and GW are actively trying to move to a more Grimdark/serious aesthetic for Skaven. However, I've always loved the comedy element to Skaven and do see them alongside Gitz. I've come up with a back story for mine that they freaks (for Skaven) because they have a compulsion to be clean.

Im waiting til next payday to pick up Deth Wizards, and the fact that I don’t have to feel rushed to buy it because it goes out of stock like so much of GW product is really refreshing to me. Also really appreciate that I can play against NPC in a solo game. Can’t wait to try it out. Great video and discussion as always.

I'm going to be completely honest, after the past couple of previews it does not feel even remotely like they've dialed down the mortal wounds. It feels, in fact, like every single army has multiple ways to generate incidental mortal wounds several times a turn across several units.

I do think your approach of thematic games gives more longevity, where as the more generic approach most companies take does limit them the scifi game, fantasy game, skirmish version etc A game where you control a wizard that controls steam-powered mechs, not that I am looking for a use Warmachine minis :)

purchased deth wizards pdf. Big fan of your work... BUT, just played four games, collab and competitive. 1 basic, 3 advanced. Very cool concept and mechanics...but, it feels like this game got very little external playtesting. lots of felt balance issues. In our 3 advanced games we kept nerfing the players hordes each time cause the basic game was SOOO easy to win it wasn't actually fun. After we added energy costs to activate minions after moving , and restricting each spell (power) to once per turn/round, and minor adjustments to heros and townsfolk, we finally got to the point where we thought, MAYBE it could work if we were playing like that in the more advanced missions. This is intended as good faith constructive feedback from someone who was excited about the game and literally just finished first four rounds. Love the core, concept, presentation, etc... but i wouldn't play it again without homebrewing a lot of the rules, and not sure if I wouldn't just play Frostgrave or Mordheim if I wanted to play this kind of game. Hope some adjustments are coming and that you keep on making cool stuff.

Were these the intro scenarios? Those are meant to be easier intentionally, I have to account for lots of different skill levels when making games like this. So the early scenarios are fairly weighted in the Players favor, that changes a great deal as you go on. Especially when playing them advanced, but higher skill players will always have an easier time for sure with AI style opponents. That all being said, I appreciate the feedback as always.

@@VinceVenturella thank you so much for your response, and for the fact that you read comments and respond. I SO appreciate it.... and will reiterate I am a big fan. You make amazing content and I am only interested in making what is a great concept into a great game Sorry for my delay, KZfaq didn't notify me. To clarify, The person I played with had run 20 games in the first week before we played together. We played one intro scenario... then one intro scenario at advanced level, then one competitive game, then one of the later scenarios collab. At each step of these games we nerfed our forces increasingly. I'm sorry to say, that in every one of these games, by the second round we both felt like we were just rolling out what seemed to be already inevitable. Both of us with two different Necromancers had forces we had just put in the wings in case. The "Shield" spell alone as it is would have broken the game as written but that was only one aspect. I was completely new, had watched your playthrough with Scott, bought and read the PDF, played the first mission and at the end of round 2 was no longer invested in the outcome because it was so overwhelmingly obvious. Thank you for taking the time. I remain invested in where this project goes because it really is awesome.

Articlea are part of why I am going to give 4th release a miss, maybe try stuff from the downloads. There is a negative side to this noise though, was listening to a Blood Bowl podcast and the outside perception from the noise is AoS 4 is a mess, and for some that won't change That said disengaging has been a real positive on the hobby front, digging out old projects and just following the enthusiasm

It was in one of the first articles, basically each hero gets 3 units with them, reinforce once (general can bring a bonus unit).

As you are 3 of my favourite peeps in my gaming space I'd really like to support 1 of your games. There's a 3D printing company called Papsikels Miniatures and they do Alien vs Predator variants and I would very much like an excuse to use them. I really wish the previews did not give us such incomplete and skewed perceptions of army and game changes. While my thinking brain knows most changes are for the better, my feeling brain is really bummed by what I have seen.

can i pervail upon the wise head of Mr Venturella (or use him as an advocate for my cause) to please align the 3 camera holes with the 3 camera PoVs? Them being off center was annoying me but i could tolerate it, but Tom's little green speach bubble being in in Vince's little cubbie... That's not so good... PLZ FIX O WISE MAN OF THE INTERNET

That's my fault - I made the overlay for Vince since I had all the Deth Wizards marketing materials and whatnot. I should have made it all one window instead of three, since you can really adjust the Discord windows separately.
