This is how you make wine from fruit juice. It is the only recipe you will ever need to make any fruit juice wines. This video concentrates on the making of wine directly from fruit juice or juice concentrate. It is relatively simple once you know the equipment you need and the necessary ingredients and the process of turning fruit juice into wine.
It is a great hobby and if you like wine, you can not beat homemade wine that you have made. You can share with your friends or just keep it all to yourself. Once you get the equipment and ingredients you can make wine from .50 cents per bottle to 3.00 dollars per bottle which is cheap.

But it's really not about the savings, its about the taste. Literally this recipe is the best Fruit Juice Wine I ever have tasted and have been told by others that as well.
So if you are just starting out in the hobby, give it a try it really is not that hard to do yourself. You don't need a lot of fancy equipment, even though it makes it easier sometimes. I've seen people make wine out of soda bottles, milk jugs and everything in between.
Feel free to reach out to me anytime and I will gladly help you along in your hobby, because that is what this channel is all about. Share How To videos of things I have learned over the years to make life easier. Work smarter not harder as they say.

I just want to say - this is the BEST homebrew juice wine video ive seen. I am beginning my journey and there is obviously a LOT to learn. This is the 5-6th video ive watched just today and each one seems to create more questions than answers for me. In the first 5 minutes I have already learned more than from all the other videos combined. Not to denigrate other channels, just to say I really appreciate the basic and thorough approach. Nobody mentioned the potassium sorbate issue and that sounds like an important detail that may be common knowledge, but I had not heard that. The links you provided are immensely helpful as well as the breakdown of 1, 3 & 5 gallon batches. ESPECIALLY having it in the description so i can reference it repeatedly, without having to follow along and take notes while trying to listen at the same time. Just brilliant man. And you seem really excited and passionate about this. Liked & Subbed.

I tested it while racking and is excellent. Stay tuned for the live taste test but may be a few weeks for this batch. Thanks for watching and commenting and give it a try. Great vid! Doesn't get simpler than this and the results are normally great...depending on the grape variety of course! At the very least you do get decent wine. I do this exact thing whenever I'm making anything with apple too...apple cider, wine or mead, because I have no patience to make my own apple juice, lol! Also like to use a mix of grape, apple and red berries juice I'm familiar with and know it's alright - 100% fruit, no sulfates, sorbate..the only preservative is vitamin C. This video has inspired me to first of all make cherry wine and then some grape wine, because ever since we had the cherry season a couple of months ago, I've been brewing cherry mead or viking blood

Hi. Love your videos on using fresh fruit. Now Im trying the juice from the store. I enjoy watching you and your wife have fun together. Its rewarding to see couples enjoying what they do. My question is this after adding the yeast to the juice, and stirring for 7-10 days. Your abv should read 1.00. But what do you do if it doesn’t? What should you do? Wait and check again?
@HowToDoneRight
@HowToDoneRight 7 ай бұрын
If it's still bubbling let it go... it can take 14 days or longer but do not rush it. If only bubbling every minute it will be done and ready to rack... use an abv calculator to see where alcohol is. If not at 1.00 sg. Good luck.

are the chemicals necessary? I am using strawberry’s and 5 cups of sugar in a three gallon bucket. I added yeast while the bucket liquid was 130 degrees +. If the chemicals aren’t necessary what do they do? Thanks, Marcus

@HowToDoneRight
@HowToDoneRight Жыл бұрын
That can be normal towards end of fermentation. Rack it to get dead yeast out and pulp... once racked stir it to introduce some oxygen. Let sit about 3 weeks and rack again. Keep racking it and smell should go away. Hope that helps.

Hypothetical, if my wine clears in one week ( not probable, but let's just say it does.) and the wine is racked off the Lees, how long should I bulk age before bottling?

Great question. You can bottle right away. No Need to age before bottling. But remember even if looks clear it most likely has fine particles in it you can't see until settles in your bottles. A few weeks later. Can't rush wine making.... also i find fruit wine Is best in the first 3 to 6 months. Just my opinion. 👍👍

Never heard of that but most likely just your yeast. Wait until it settles out and see if you get that clear yellow back. Usually the dead yeast after first racking is gray you will remove.

@@HowToDoneRight update! Just to put the time frame in order I'll use dates. Also the juice has 0 sulfate as it was made from my concord grapes this summer. I started on Dec 3rd. Put yeast in the 4th. The 9th came around and still nothing. I found out my house was too cold! I live in Wisconsin 😅. So I got a fermenting heat wrap on the 9th and turned my furnace up. The 11th I started getting foam and now it is bubbling away.

Hello, I am new to wine making and I used your recipe with 10 pounds of sugar. My initial sg was 1.130 and abv was 17 %. I added three more ninja cups of water and the sg was 1.116 with a abv of 15 % . My 5 gallon bucket is now full and I cant add anymore water to it. Since I want a final abv of 13 % would I just rack when the abv on the hydrometer reads 2 or 3 % ?

If it were me I would let go as is... when you rack to carboy you will need to add water most likely because of removing pulp. That will bring it down.
