That's WAY better than the way I've been doing it (having both front legs as one piece, then both back legs as another) It makes it much sturdier in the middle! Thanks for this, it's really helpful!

Thats how I use to make my frames but they would alway have trouble and twist lol your welcome :)

Ahh! Thank you! I will have to try the measuring to the wire and the body patterns, without the measuring, it would been difficult to match the wire to the body. I create the wire body similar to yours but differently. Thank you for this helpful tutorial! 🤩

Never thought to measure the wire. I always cut it too long and have a bunch clippings I don't know what to do with

Does anyone know what mm the 14 gauge wire is? In my country the measurment is only in milimiters and I'm not sure which one to choose... BubblyLeaf, very helpfull and nice video, thank you so much!

I could be wrong but I think it would be 1.6mm :) I'm glad you liked it thank you.

I also think it could be 1.6 mm :) Before I thought about 1.8 - 1.9, but it would probably be too thick...I will go to the store and check it out in person and let you all guys know in the comment. Buing it online is too risky ;P P.S. I really love your movies and creatures, and appreciate all the great work you are doing for us! (and yourself ;) ). I'm so glad I found your channel, it's my number one now :) Keep doing amazing work!

I normally get my wire for making frames on the US one so you should be able to find it on the UK one. Just search for galvanized steel wire 16 or 14 gauge. And for the thinner wire I use to put the frames together. That one is a 20g.

Oooh lovely! Thank you! I have a doll proyect in mind. I'm undecided about the doll armature for the tail part. That is because I want to use the tails to attach different tools... no sure if invest on a plastic armature on the website crscrafts or make it of wires (the eminent break of the wire of the constant bend concern me) So what is your professional opinion? I'm a fan of your creatures btw :D

O that sounds interesting :) I haven't had any wire frames break on me yet. The main wires being galvanized steel are made to be bent over and over again, but the wires for putting them together I can see how that could weaken over time. So if it's something your worried about I would say go for the plastic if its in your price range. I haven't used them to give my point of view on them but everyone that has seems to love them lol. thank you :)

Wire frames are always the hardest part for me. Especially connecting feet

I tend to struggle with guessing how heavy the head is and not making the neck wire strong enough. I've had to take the head back off and reinforce so many pieces lol!

I really thought about using plastik flexible skeleton in my dolls...🤔

The plastic is more expensive but 100% worth it! Feels great and indestructible :)

very try. I've seen them in action before. I just can't justify the cost right now. lol But when I can I'll give them a try and show them off. Cause I know putting them together if a lot different.

@@bubblyleafcreations tried it one time out of curiosity and cant make myself go back, my armatures have got expensive real quick XD I still use wire for legs as plastic cant really do sharp angles
