Hi John, do you have a cost estimate for the store bought slides, vs the timber, fixings, and varnish for your home made version..? Of course we can't factor in our time as that will vary from person to person and tooling available.. Here in Australia, full extension slides like these are quite expensive, especially if you need heavy duty ones.. Many years ago I made a power tool drawer for under my work bench, and the 40kg slides I got were about 45 bucks a pair.. To be fair, they've been reliable and trouble free in the 11 years since, so I'm also wondering how timber ones would hold up over time. Great content, and thanks for sharing 👍

@@genelomas332 don't bother asking John anything, he's a moron. I asked what should be a fairly simple question of him, but instead of answering or saying he doesn't know, he goes into some pity party, but still asks for people to support him and buy plans (which I've done).

I work for a millwork company. My department makes custom doors. I built a new 4'x8' ft table today for my department, minus the 4ft wide drawer I want under the tabletop. I am 100% going to utilize this design, using 1x4 mahogany scrap that we've accumulated the past 2 years. You sir are a life saver!

John thank you for this amazing video and contributions to woodworking. Currently I am building a cart to go under the right of my table saw. The cart is going to end up with 5 drawers. I am looking at $105 for the 100lb full extension slides. My next build will be similar to your Large Toolbox build. In fact, I am toying with abandoning my current plan and just build two of your Large Toolbox builds. With a small shop, you want everything to be mobile. When I first started out, I caught some of your videos. At the time, they were way over my head. Now that I am on my third reorganization of my shop 6 years in, I really get your builds. Especially your drawer slides. Those drawer slides will save me great deal of money, and will go a long way in helping my understanding of mounting drawers.

John - Great video, very informative, helpful, detailed etc. Thanks for sharing and including the plans. Honestly - I was wish I had a .10 of your abilities, creativity, thoughts, drive etc. Some of your work is truly mind blowing - even with something like this. Nothing major. Nothing huge, Nothing so complex that an engineer needed to work on. Simple enough for just about anyone to take on, BUT it took someone like yourself with your thoughts and abilities to make it happen. Thank you!
