Here is my review: I was back and forth between medium and large fins for my Rocket Wide and my Phantom. The large fins had good drive but were a bit tight. Medium fins were more playful but I lost drive. Also, at 170 pounds, I was right on the line between medium and large. I asked Noel how I could remedy that, and he showed me his Momentum Series Fins because they are specifically designed to solve this problem. And they did! Of course, Noel is likable AND he rips so I'm inclined to be biased. But I can honestly say that I surfed maybe 12 times since I got them (I surf nearly every day), and I was objectively critical of the way they rode. The difference is unmistakable. It's also a "subtle to medium" difference - it didn't change the feel of the boards themselves - which I really like. Even though I live on Oahu and surf everyday (30 years+), my skill level is low-to-middle advanced. I watched most of my friends growing up become advanced/expert and a couple expert/pro, but not me. My DNA must have skipped class or something when God was handing out the surfing skills. But this proves that you don't have to surf like Noel to benefit from this fin design. 5 of 5 stars and I strongly recommend them.

I just got myself the futures am2 honeycomb in large, wide base, rake and back fin is smaller so it still has the pivot as well, does a similar job to the pivot series👍

Really like your channel. If you organize your videos by playlists, like for examples, place some videos in a ‘tutorial’ group, or ‘groveler boards review’, etc., it will be easier for the viewer to find what he/she’s looking for and you’ll definitely will get more views. . keep the good work!

Great video as always! You mentioned rocker playing into fin choice, which really rings true. I have a Lost Rocket Redux that has a lot of tail rocker, but lower entry rocker. For me, pivot style fins seemed a little too loose in that board but they were perfect in a Tomo Evo with low tail rocker.

I'm dangerously stoked to try these fins and I actually just ordered them in the neutral template for my small wave board and my daily driver. Not long ago, I had actually asked Noel in another comment thread where I could find a fin that "allows me to surf the board as the shaper intended, drives like a large, and turns like a medium". Plus at 170 pounds, I'm right on the line of medium and large. It's crazy that the industry has overlooked this idea. Insano job pioneering this concept Noel - I'll follow up with how they go. @@Poop_is_meat34 They went great! I did a review in another comment (scroll down to find it perhaps). I would recommend them - they went just as advertised. More speed and not really any sacrifice to pivot like with a raked fin.

Riding my new MS-N's this weekend, I will try them as a thruster and with the MS-QDP rears. The fin build feels really high quality to the eye and touch. Excited to feel these setups compared to my bottom of the barrel F-6's with shitty plastic sidebites. I will report back and see whether I want to add a full set of MS-P's to the quiver as well!

looks good. just out of curiosity, have you ridden the old Tom Carroll TC Aqualines? Those were loose but felt small. Similar, but they had more cant too so when you laid it over the fin was vertical. they had a small center fin also. this makes sense, hope it goes well. TC Aqualine side fin: base 4.50" 114mm depth 4.41" 112mm sweep 32.8 degrees surface area 14.41"/9298mm inside foil

Thanks for your work, Noel. It's super hard to see the outlines when you're holding them up for 2 reasons: One they're mostly black & you're wearing a black tee. Two the checkerboard "dazzle" paint makes them inherently hard to see. I would recommend taking pictures of the fins on a contrasting background & then just drop them into your vid. Keep up the good work amigo.

So what I’m understanding at min 6 is, for a surfer like me how surf in beach break (without time for long carvs) I need for my performers board wider fin at the bottom(for speed) how is going up without a lot of rake(for manoeuvring) am I right? i think generally this dogma about pivot fins is only right when they are completely rigid. in the real world they are not and then the most pivot you get with raked template in the back that will twist under the load and act like the rudder from from the boat.
