Yes, without water the pen can't active because it needs the heat from your body. Water here acts as an intermediary.

It depend, I usually wait until 5-10 second to make sure there's no water drop coming from the cotton bud. Thank you for watching ♡

oh ya i notice u have to press the metal part but i actually have a solution for it. you must use a small bit of tissu but make sure the tissue is thick (u can layer it) and then put it in water,it’ll stick and boom! a stylus pen :D
