Hi Marie’s, this is Doris Fisher again, I started to write to you and it disappeared I don’t know what would happen and I’m just now getting back to where I can find you again so here I am thank you for writing me an answer in my message God bless you and your love for plants. I can tell tell that you are one with your plants. I have a desart rose and I just love her, I took her to a garden center to have them to help me repot her that was about a yea ago and she has not grown very much and now after watching you I know she is not in the right kind of soil so when this virus goes away and it gets warm weather I will repot here. . Bye for now , Doris

I'm so glad you gave info on the right mix for dessert rose because I've have my plant for over 15 yrs. and minds never flowered, I keep cutting my stems because it would get leggy. I've tried to propagate from the the stems and they didn't work out, I just cut it back to short nubs this summer, it don't even have that many leaves they grow but ten they just die off. I really didn't know what was going on with my plant and now I know, I live in Ohio and it's in the 30s at night and 40s - 50s during the day but still cold, is it still to cold to repot even if I repot in the house? Thank you so much for the info.

I sadly notice that of the soil of lowes for sucilents! It rain like crazy one day in December (never rains this month here) and to make the story short , the roots of two of my plants got rotten 😢 I didn’t noticed IT WAS SOIL FOR SUCULENTS!! I put stones down the pot for drainage, so I have to cut parts of the roots, and make my own soil with the lowes one (I have no more here) but I combined with perlita, charcoal, and little stones for more drainage hence the soil is light and doesn’t get heavy and wet, 🤷🏼♀️ I wish i could have seen your video before!! Now i have to wait if my plants are safe!!! Thanks for the tips’! I really like your Chanel!’ Kisses from México!

Maria -- I know you said to water when dry but can you please give me an idea of how often you water? I live in the Tampa area and am growing DR's from seeds (started in mid-June) and I cannot figure out how dry they need to be before I water so as a general guideline about how often you water seedlings. Second question== where should 2-6 month old seeding be kept -- full sun, partial shade or full shade? Also, i am interested in driving down there some day and getting a few bags of your "Just Natural" mix and chatting with you about DR's. It's not available in the Tampa area. Please respond to the water question.....thanks!!

@MariasgardenGarden5 жыл бұрын
Sandy Crenshaw Hi sandy if you desert rose have the wrong soil you need make sure doesn’t get a lot water during rain and wait to repotted in the bigger of spring desert roses need to be repotted every two to three years to lift the up about and inch to two inch if you repotted during hot weather you need to make sure you place you desert Rose in recovery for 6 to 7 weeks very important under roof outdoor not rain not direct sunlight during this time you’re going to keep one inch of the soil moist by spray the top every time dry about every five skin day after this please please you desert rose out doors if possible in the east side of you house or morning sun about six out a day and make sure to water very good until the water comes out the bottom of the pot

3/8" Pine Bark Nuggets - just not available in Phoenix. Lowes, Wal-Mart and Home Depot all show it on their web pages, but there is no way to order it. Even Oldcastle doesn't show it on their web page. In fact, Home Depot goes so far to say it is not available in any of their stores within 100 miles. Caution: I found one manufacturer/supplier who describes their "mini" nuggets as up to 2 inches in size. Apparently, "mini" is in the eye of the beholder. It may not be an acceptable substitute, but I'll just have to use coconut CHIPS (not the finely ground "Coco Peat" that resembles peat moss.) LOVE your videos.

@MariasgardenGarden5 жыл бұрын
Xavier Springer Hi Xavier yes you’re correct if you have any all desert rose you need to wait to repotted this temperature is for the day time best to wait until between 80 -85 for best results,ok Xavier if you purchase a desert Rose at this time is a different process you need to planted into dry soil and keep in you garage,storage, or house all depends how cold it is this weather thank you Maria’s garden

Hi Maria. I really need your help! In June I started my Desert Roses from seed and I have about 12 that were successful. Recently it started to really cool down and noticed the leaves on them were turning yellow and falling off. I thought maybe because we are in fall that it was normal for them. I was still worried so I check the stem and it's a little soft so I dug them up and checked for root rot. Some of the little roots had rot, so I cleaned them up. They all have some healthy roots, so I'm hoping they'll be ok. How should I proceed? They're still seedlings so do I put them back in their soil and not water them? Or do I leave them out to dry out then repot them later? Please help, I don't want to lose my babies.😢 Thank you.
@MariasgardenGarden5 жыл бұрын
