Great demo! I used to only prune the tops of plants, but it’s always a good idea to stimulate root growth too with root pruning. Thank you for being kind to the caterpillar! 🐛❤️😀🌱

Hi Maria! I lived in Thailand for 5 years and noticed that they grew their smaller desert roses in plastic bowl type planters. It makes sense to keep the roots growing horizontally. 😁

Hello Maria you don’t know what a blessing n how timely this video is! 🎯 Had I been feeling better yesterday; I actually thought about throwing my adopted plants into my car n make the drive to you. Just realized the plants I inherited from a friend are infested n soil has tiny black ants Found spider mites bc I notice thin strings going across the blooms n stems. I hosed plant down n sprayed with diluted hydrogen peroxide and watered soil lightly with water that had hydrogen peroxide as well to help kill fungus, bacteria, bugs till I can get them out. I don’t have tools I need to do cutting and cleaning. Soil is definitely wrong type bc it stays wet. Does the soil need to be dry before pulling plant out of pot? This video gives me more confidence about what to do onceI get them all out of soil. I probably should just get then out and hose the roots n let them sit in shade until I can go tomorrow n buy items needed? Thank you so much Maria 💕

Also i think that was a centipede not a caterpillar and they can bite... yikes... i am not afraid of bugs and i don't kill the good ones...if i fund a spider in the house it goes outside... but i have a tiny one between the fridge and the cabinet and it gets any ants that try to come in there.... i hate ants

Hi Maria. I just found your videos and really enjoy watching. I have a desert rose that is 4 years old. I followed your instructions trimming the roots, cutting the bottom and adding cinnamon It has been drying for 3 days but has now developed rot on some of the roots. Living on the suncoast we have had 90-95 degree weather so no rain has hit it. What am I doing wrong
