I have watched countless videos trying to figure out how to help open up my hooded eyes & how to do the ultra trendy cut crease. My eyes were always 'droopy'. Excellent step by step instructions with explanations as to why this works (and it does!). I have the same coloring (hair, skin, eyes) that you do so this was enormously helpful. Of course you are only suggesting! Who would criticize this? Thank you for sharing this with us.

This was really helpful for me. I've never felt the need for contouring, bronzing, dark lips, etc, but I've always wanted to make my eyes appear larger and more striking. Wearing glasses makes most eye makeup practically disappear, but maybe that was for the best, as I was doing basically everything wrong!

This is correct in my case. I have hooded eyes. Most of the time I use only mascara (a lot of it) and as I have long lashes it makes my eyes appear bigger. If I do use the eye shadow, than it's exactly the way you showed - around and away from the eye. Any dark eye pencil or color just next to my lashes and/or eye, makes it look smaller. Spot on!

Great video! I learned a lot. Also ur so beautiful. Really pretty eyes. And I love ur earrings. The delicate chains contrast beautifully & have a slight edge but not too over the top. I will have to show my jewelry guy because it's exactly what I want to do by adding chains to some of my stud earrings. I'm going to cut out the black liner on my upper lids unless I'm just winging it out at the corners. No more harsh black making my eyes look smaller. Thx for all the helpful tips!

Just found your channel and I have got to say that you are the first person that has ever explained to me in a way that made me understand how I can make my small eyes look larger and what makes it look smaller. Even though English is not your first language our great at helping us understand our eyes and shape better. I’ve seen several videos on eye makeup, specially becoz I’m novice in makeup, n no one explained why’s. And when I go back in front of the mirror n actually trying to do it myself, I’ve failed. So helpful, I started wearing eye liner thinking it would make my lashes appear thicker but I really want to open up my eyes! I usually don't wear mascara on lower lashes because it tends to spear on me and I don't have many lashes, good to know it will also help open eyes

Don't judge me but I watch your videos mostly for the "don'ts". I love this curvy shape of the hooded eeyesand it feels more sultry than wider and popping eyes. I love your "do's" as well. The "do's" for a lovely, sunny spring day look, the "don'ts" for that obscure object of desire look. Thank you so much for the tutorials! Other tutorials are mostly disasters for hooded eyes. Have I been doing a loot of things wrong! Technical question, though. Some tutorials say that the concealer should be applied after eye make up. When should we apply it for the larger look and the smaller look? Wouldn't it also conceal the transition color if we applied it after the make up?

+Ayca Altay If you are talking about under eye concealer then if you are going to apply eyeshadow underneath the lower lashline - then apply concealer first. Powder goes on top of cream. But if you are going to leave the lower lashline bare, then you can apply concealer after eyeshadow, to prevent any fallouts from sticking to the concealer and you can also use the concealer to shape the shadows that are in the lid and create a more sharp and clean edge. Hope that helps!

I like the making the eye larger looking technique, however, for those over 40, they fear it making wrinkles show up if one puts shadow or color under the eye.

Very good. A lot of tutorials for'older women's encourage not putting anything under the eye except a ton of concealer and other techniques that seem to close my eyes rather than make it prominent. I see why I think that now. Thank you!
