People underestimate what weight reduction actually does for you!

The rear bumper support is heavy. You can change it out with a steeda bumper support and save weight. Change the factory heads out with some afr aluminum heads will save weight also. Great video as always man

When you're cutting weight every ounce counts. BTW you should try to put some of that speaker carpet on the doors to see if it cleans it up a bit. Nice job on the car man, looks well put together and props for doing your own work, that's what counts.

You can remove weight by getting more tubular parts and go lexan windows and as much carbon fiber and titanium to make it even lighter

If you didn't want to keep it with a turbo you could have carbureted over the EFI.That would drop like 20 lb.. Probably put a Nos, you would have better chances of it not dying out on you and use it in occasions. Just put a low forged stroker 306. I don't know if you have stock heads but if you do aluminum heads would lighten it up as well and add greater horsepower to. There's fiber glass hatch and quarter panels online. Some people do their own custom dash in the interior to save weight. The light weight pedals with Speed holes are said to be lighter. Some remove the center piece console where the shift is at. Some get a smaller battery to cut back. I don't know if you did this but there's a front bumper and rear bumper delete. I think each is like 40 lbs.. other people don't feel comfortable with taking out the bumpers for safety reasons. I think a good idea if you don't want to remove them would be to drill speed holes on the top and sides back to back. You can drill them out but there's a tool that drills the out but leaves a nipple with a bevel on the metal. The the bevel makes the remaining metal hard and compact to make it strong. That way the bumper would be stronger than the thin metal bar the delete kit has. These are just some ideas. Good luck 🍀 on your build man its beautiful 👍.

Time for a S.O.S spoiler bud! Thats the aluminum spoilers. They are lighter then the stock fiberglass spoilers Also the iron heads you have are heavy as hell. Aluminum heads will help ton in bolt performance and weight. Obviously they aren’t cheap but you can get some used edlerbrock or Trickflow for a good price. They are worth it.
