Are you sick and tired of the absence of any scent in your home? Do you want to up the ante when it comes to the aroma in your house without breaking the bank? The good news is that we have a suggestion that will enable you to give the impression that you live in the mansion of a wealthy person. You read that correctly; it's the home of a wealthy person!
You will only need some oranges, salt, white vinegar, cloves, and fabric softener (though this last ingredient is optional). This is the procedure to follow:
Cut the orange into two equal slices, one along the horizontal axis and the other along the vertical axis, as though you were going to quarter it. However, you shouldn't cut all the way through it.
Find a container that can accommodate the orange, and then sprinkle some salt over the top of it. There is no need to measure the salt, but make sure not to use excessive amounts of it.
The container needs three tablespoons of white vinegar added to it. The aroma of the oranges will be improved thanks to the addition of the vinegar.
Put some cloves in the container if you want to keep pests away. Insects hate cloves. A pleasant aroma is also left behind by them.
Add one capful of your preferred brand of fabric softener to the mixture if you want to give it a scented component. If you want a more potent odor, make sure to select the concentrated version.
You should now have three containers, each containing a distinctive aroma. Spread them around your home, particularly in insect-prone areas such as the bathroom, the living room, and the areas close to the windows.
And voila! You did not have to spend a lot of money to make your home smell like that of a wealthy person, but you did it. A home that smells as good as it looks can be achieved with the help of this easy and effective tip. Give it a shot today and report back to us with your findings.

Thank you for sharing this amazing tip! I tried it out and my house now smells wonderful. The orange and vinegar combination is perfect for a citrusy scent, and adding cloves to the mix to keep insects away is a great idea. The fabric softener variation is my favorite, and I have placed it in my living room where I can enjoy its fragrance the most. Thank you for sharing such a simple yet effective tip that doesn't require spending extra money on air fresheners.

LOVE the first 2 tips. The fabric softener one, not so much...that stuff is super toxic. I'll try it with essential oils, instead.
@HomeDIYTips
@HomeDIYTips Жыл бұрын
I understand your concern about the fabric softener being potentially toxic. It's important to prioritize safety when it comes to the products we use in our homes. Using essential oils instead of fabric softener is a great alternative. Essential oils can provide a natural and pleasant fragrance to your home. To incorporate essential oils into this method, you can add a few drops of your preferred essential oil to the containers along with the other ingredients. This way, you can still enjoy the aroma and customize it according to your personal preferences. Thank you for bringing up the point about toxicity and offering an alternative solution. It's always important to consider our well-being and choose options that align with our values and safety concerns.

@@radioog6945 In your initial tip, you mentioned using oranges to create a pleasant scent in your home. However, you didn't mention using limes. Both oranges and limes are citrus fruits and can give off refreshing aromas. If you're interested in trying out a lime-based version of the tip, you can follow a similar process using limes instead of oranges. Just remember that the specific scents and effects might differ slightly between the two fruits. The duration of the aroma can vary depending on several factors, such as the size of the space where the scent is used, the ventilation, and the specific ingredients used. In general, the scent can last for a few days up to a week, but it may begin to fade after a day or two. To maintain the aroma, you may need to refresh the ingredients or adjust the amount used periodically.

Now, I want to know, how does the rich house smell? mine cooking smells, open living apartments will have mixture of other aromas. etc, thus I do a lot of smudging with white sage and other diffusers, to keep a positive energy flow only.😂🥰 🙏☮
@HomeDIYTips
@HomeDIYTips Жыл бұрын
The idea of a "rich house" having a particular smell is subjective and can vary from person to person. However, some may associate a luxurious or upscale living environment with certain scents that evoke a sense of elegance, freshness, and cleanliness. Common scents associated with a rich house might include: 1.Fresh Flowers: A rich house may have bouquets of fresh flowers, such as roses or lilies, which can create a pleasant and inviting aroma. 2.Fine Fragrances: Expensive perfumes, scented candles, or high-quality essential oils can add a touch of luxury to the ambiance of a house. 3.Aromatherapy: Some rich houses may incorporate aromatherapy practices, using diffusers with essential oils like lavender, vanilla, or sandalwood to create a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. 4.Cleanliness: A clean and well-maintained house often has a neutral and fresh scent. High-end cleaning products or professional cleaning services may contribute to this perception. 5.Gourmet Kitchen: The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, baked goods, or exotic spices from a well-equipped kitchen can be associated with a rich and indulgent lifestyle. It's important to note that everyone has different preferences when it comes to scents, and what may be considered luxurious or rich-smelling to one person might differ for another. Ultimately, creating a positive energy flow and a pleasant atmosphere in your home, as you mentioned, is what matters most. Whether it's through smudging with white sage or using diffusers to maintain positive energy, it's all about finding what works best for you and creating an environment that brings you joy and tranquility. 😊🌿🏡

@HomeDIYTips 11 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that the tip didn't work out as you expected. DIY solutions can sometimes yield varying results due to factors like the quality of ingredients, environmental conditions, or individual sensitivities to scents. If you're open to troubleshooting, here are a few things you might consider: Ingredients Quality: Ensure you're using fresh oranges (or limes) and quality ingredients. The potency of the aroma can be affected by the freshness of the fruit and the quality of the vinegar, cloves, and fabric softener. Placement: The effectiveness of the scents can also depend on where you place the containers. Make sure they're in areas with good air circulation and where the scents can disperse throughout the room. Quantity: While you mentioned not having specific measurements, it's possible that adjusting the amounts of salt, vinegar, cloves, or fabric softener could affect the strength of the scent. Patience: It might take some time for the scents to fully diffuse throughout your home. Give it a little time before concluding that it doesn't work. Alternative Methods: If this specific method isn't working as you hoped, there are many other natural ways to make your home smell pleasant, such as using essential oils, simmering potpourri on the stove, or using scented candles. Remember, results can vary, and it's not uncommon for DIY solutions to require some trial and error to get them just right. If you're still interested in improving the aroma in your home, you might consider trying other methods or experimenting with different ingredient ratios.

Although you have dubbed your audio with a UK voice you're clearly based in India or somewhere similar. The fruit you used may be slightly confusing to us in the UK because the fruit you used looks like, what we recognize, as being a lime, but you called it an Orange. This is what our Oranges look like 🍊So, if that's your Orange in the video, what does your Lime look like? 🤔 I'm very curious 🧐😅
@HomeDIYTips
@HomeDIYTips 6 ай бұрын
I appreciate your observation! While I don't have access to visual content, and I cannot show you the specific fruit used in the video, it's possible that regional differences in fruit appearance can lead to variations in what is recognized as an orange or lime. In India and similar regions, there are varieties of citrus fruits that may look slightly different from those commonly found in the UK. The term "lime" can also be used broadly to refer to different types of citrus fruits, including what might be recognized as a lime in the UK. If you're curious about the appearance of citrus fruits in different regions, you might find it interesting to explore local markets or online sources that showcase the diversity of citrus fruits worldwide. It's always fascinating to discover how food varieties and appearances can vary across different regions! 🍊🌍🍋

How often to replace
@HomeDIYTips
@HomeDIYTips 9 ай бұрын
Great question! The frequency of replacement depends on a few factors, such as the size of the orange, the amount of salt and vinegar used, and the desired strength of the scent. Here's a rough guideline: If you used the orange with just salt, you might need to replace it every week or so as the salt loses its potency. If you used the orange with vinegar, it can last longer, typically a few weeks to a month before you might want to replace it. The orange with cloves can last even longer, as the cloves can continue to release their scent. You might replace it every 1-2 months. The orange with fabric softener can last the longest, often for a few months. However, these are approximate timelines, and you can replace them when you feel the scent has faded or as needed to maintain the desired aroma. Remember to add more salt or vinegar as needed to refresh the scent. Enjoy the continuous freshness in your home!

The actual 'rich ppl' I've known smell like salt air from boating, sun baked hair (yum!) and, yup, a little lemon or lime from seafood and citrusy drinks.. Also, the smell of a good home library and/or leather is often detectable...not cheap fabric softener. That stuff smells nasty and cheap! Very artificial. Reeks of polyester and other synthetic fibers.
@HomeDIYTips
@HomeDIYTips Жыл бұрын
I appreciate your perspective on the scents associated with a "rich people's house." It's true that different environments and lifestyles can contribute to a variety of unique smells. The combination of salt air, sun-baked hair, hints of citrus from seafood and drinks, the scent of a well-stocked home library, and the aroma of leather are indeed evocative and can create a luxurious atmosphere. It's important to note that scent preferences can vary greatly from person to person, and what may be appealing to some might not resonate with others. The use of fabric softener, as mentioned in the previous comment, was intended as a simple and cost-effective way to introduce pleasant scents into a home. However, it's understandable that some individuals may find the scent of fabric softener artificial or unpleasant, especially when seeking more refined or natural aromas. Exploring alternative options such as diffusing essential oils, incorporating natural scents, or focusing on specific elements like books and leather can help create a personalized and luxurious atmosphere that aligns with your preferences. Ultimately, it's about finding scents and fragrances that bring joy and comfort to your living space.

I apologize for the confusion in my previous response. Thank you for clarifying that the fruit used in the video is actually an orange, not a lime. Here's a revised summary of the steps using an orange: 1. Cut two slits on the orange, one lengthwise and one crosswise, without cutting it all the way through. 2. Place the orange in a container that fits it snugly. 3. Sprinkle some salt on top of the orange. 4. Add three tablespoons of white vinegar/alcohol vinegar to the container, except for one variation. 5. For the variation with cloves, add some cloves to the container. 6. For the variation with fabric softener, add one capful of concentrated fabric softener to the container. 7. Place the containers around the house, such as in the bathroom, living room, or near a window. I apologize for any confusion caused by the previous response. @@jamena4u I'm sorry to hear that the combination of ingredients you used didn't work for you. Scent preferences can vary, and what may work for some may not work for others. If you're looking for alternative ways to freshen up the scent of your home, you can try using natural air fresheners like baking soda or essential oils. Additionally, keeping your home well-ventilated and regularly cleaning can help eliminate odors. It may take some experimentation to find the method that works best for you.

Apologies for any confusion caused by the discrepancy between the instructions and the visual representation. While the video refers to using oranges, it seems that a lime. Please follow the instructions using oranges as intended for the best results. Thank you for pointing out the inconsistency. Oh! I used sweet limetta or mosambi (Citrus limetta) at my area called Orange but it not Lime

It's understandable to feel skeptical about the idea that a house can smell "rich," but the point here is more about creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere in your home, regardless of your financial status. The use of simple ingredients like oranges, vinegar, cloves, and fabric softener isn't about imitating wealth but rather about enhancing the ambiance of your living space. Whether someone is rich or not, everyone appreciates a nice-smelling home. Plus, these DIY methods are affordable and accessible to anyone, making it a practical solution for anyone looking to freshen up their living space. So, while the term "rich man's house" might not be accurate, the goal remains the same: to make your home smell great and feel welcoming for yourself and your guests.

While frying fruit is an option for some dishes, the comment you mentioned seems to suggest a different approach. The method shared earlier focuses on creating a pleasant aroma in the house using oranges, salt, vinegar, cloves, and fabric softener. It's more about enhancing the scent rather than altering the fruit itself. Additionally, consuming fresh fruit in its natural state offers various nutritional benefits like essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber. However, exploring different ways to enjoy fruit is always interesting, so if you have any unique fruit recipes or preparations, feel free to share them!

@HomeDIYTips 20 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your comment. I understand your concern about the oranges potentially rotting and attracting mosquitoes. It's important to note that this video suggests using fresh oranges and doesn't mention keeping them for an extended period of time. However, it's always a good idea to monitor the oranges and replace them if they start to rot. As for the video itself, people have different preferences and interests when it comes to household tips. While this tip may not resonate with everyone, it's possible that some people find it helpful or enjoyable. It's always good to have a variety of ideas and options available for different individuals. If this particular video doesn't align with your personal preferences, there are plenty of other tips and tricks out there that you might find more useful.
