Welcome back Martin! I always tell people that desire to create never goes away and you're living proof. I started on a mpc and keyboards. My brother used to have a ASR 10 and I loved that board. It's definitely a different world now when it comes to creating but once you get in it, you're going to love the workflow.

I use to use Reason a lot for stuff like that. I really like Scream. I would always use it for my bass or 808 to add some grit but I try to keep stuff in Pro Tools as much as possible now. Thanks for checking out the vid!

Hey man, I hope you see this. First, your videos are like a cheat code! I'm just learning about making beats, and your channel has been by far the best and most helpful. So, thank you for making videos. Second, I'm disabled and can't use a MIDI controller. I use my computer with my eyes, which unfortunately can make things a little more challenging. That being said, I was wondering - when you lowered the release, you said it's so you could control the duration by holding down the key. Can I control it by adjusting the length of the note in MIDI Editor? Also, how much do I randomize the velocity to humanize the sounds? Thanks bro, and again, great content! Your beats are dope!

Liked and subbed! I'm going through every vid on this channel. Can't believe I spent money on Juggernaut and 808 Studio 2 when I can make great low-end sounds with stock plugins. Any reason why you chose the patch you did in Xpand? It starts out high sounding. I'm thinking you can make subs out of most patches on there.

Use kontakt if you have it for pitch bending. Battery doesn't do pitch bending well.

If you have the full Pro Tools program, you don't need Pro Tools first. You can make beats without a midi keyboard. You can draw in notes and make beats that way. For me, that just takes longer.

@@chrisjennings5731 I haven't figured out a way to do pitch bend on Battery if that's what you're asking. Usually if I want to use the bitch pend while using a sampler, I'll load it into Kontakt.

Amir Perry ... Meaning once I have the MIDI from the 808 recorded in ProTools via Battery! So like once you played your 808, you switched your view to Pitch Bend and then did your glides! It should be the same if I use xPand or Battery, right?

Na I don't. I don't use Battery 3 anymore. I edit my samples in ProTools and then load them in battery 4 though. I have a video on that. Just look on my channel for how to chop samples in ProTools. It'll walk you thru the process.

Hey Perry. What do you do when you've produced a song ... if i make a song how to get copyright on it and publish it ..PLEASE REPLY

To copyright a song you have to do it thru the government on their site. www.copyright.gov/ . To publish a song you have to be signed up with one of the performance rights organizations... Ascap, BMI or Sesac. I'm a part of Ascap. Hope that helps!

@@MianHassanAadil A Performing Rights Organization helps songwriters and publishers get paid for the usage of their music by collecting performance royalties. As a songwriter, composer, or lyricist, you’re owed what is called a “performance royalty” any time your music is played on radio stations (terrestrial, satellite, and internet), used on TV shows or commercials, or performed in live venues. With ASCAP, I think you have to be at least 13 so you should be good. I'm not sure of the others though. Their names are BMI and SESAC. You can do some research on those and find out the age requirements.
