There are also banks which don't necessarily even need to print money after all they can just create more money digitally by updating bank accounts While not infinite Fractional Reserve banking does allow banks to lend out a lot of money while yes they still need to have some reserves like for example 10% of deposits so if someone deposits 1000$ the bank is only allowed to lend out 900$ but then the seller puts the 900$ earned into their bank account (loans are usually used to pay for things after all) and the bank can lend out another 810$ And off you go and the banks can lend out a lot money with very little actual money or assets backing it up (but it works 99% of the time and when it doesn't it they get bailed out or the ones depositing money in the bank are the ones who lose out so there is little reason for them not to do it) (though if the reserve is 0% then the bank can in theory loan out an infinite amount of money)

Banking has been a white collar "respectable" scam.....for a lonnnnng time. Banks do not take money out of Billy Joe Bob's account and "loan" it out to Jimbo Leroy Jones! If they did, Billy Joe would be down there asking questions of the Bank "manager", with about 2 feet of iron pipe in front of him....if you catch my meaning. The scam is even easier to run with Credit, so-called. Get a customer's signature on a loan document, and RIGHT THERE, is your AUTHORISATION to "print money". "Love not the world, nor the things of the world. If any love the world, the love of the Father is not in him". And, the world (along with these leeches of satan), passes away.

The local convenience store has fake bills that passed pinned to the wall. Most of them are surprisingly poorly done. The bill only has to get past a cashier. Crinkling it up a lot, so it looks very worn, seems to be a common technique

As someone who worked in retail, the real trick is not to use anything bigger than a $20. Nothing under $20 gets checked and even $20s might not be checked out the cashier is in a rush. The idea being that only large bills are worth counterfeiting, but you can buy a lot of easily resellable tech for unchecked $10 dollar bills. Just don't get too much at a time from a particular store.

@@darius2640 if you have to, the goal isn't to buy anything you intend to keep, its to trade in the counterfeits for real money, "clean" money. do it in a high enough volume over as many retailers as possible and you are set. especially if the stuff you are buying with the fakes is resellable.

@@Teixas666 exactly, sure the big ticket items are what you want, it’s a lot riskier as bigger bills will be checked, especially if you’re buying a several hundred dollar computer with cash. If you go for some smaller tech items and sell it on a marketplace for cheaper then retail price you have a lower risk of getting checked.

Jake, please make a video about counterfeit shares in the stock market. There was a guy in 2005 that bought 100% shares of a company, and some how or another, 50x the amount of shares that even existed were traded 2 days after he bought what was reported as '100% of the outstanding float'. Congress confronted the SEC and everything, but sadly, this deceptive practice still happens today! Please look into share rehypothecation and teach everyone that counterfeit shares is the same as counterfeit money!! EDIT: btw happy new years, love your content bro!

The problem with such operations is that in order to be efficient you have to have a lot of people involved. And risk of someone spilling the beans grows exponentially. If about a secret know more then 3 people it won't stay secret for long.

I think that what you're really saying in this lesson on how to counterfeit money is that counterfeiting is SO HARD and requires SO MUCH SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT that it's not worth the effort ---especially with all that money you'll have to spend just to get the specialized equipment. So the moral of this video lesson is that it is much more convenient and easy to simply buck down and find an honest, good-paying job to earn all the HONEST money you should ever need.

u should be encouraging self-custody, not holding ur crypto in a third-party bank/exchange like blockfi (can be held/locked, lost, tracked by gov, confiscated, etc.) the whole point of btc is to be your own bank and be a sovereign & free individual with unconfiscatable wealth

This kind of changed my perspective on the federal reserve. I didn't realize currency was such a wild-west before government took over printing money. Obviously a huge improvement from a fraud and exchangeability perspective... but far too much power in the hands of one organization. I guess the best way to look at crypto-currency is the best of both worlds - a centralized and un-counterfeitable _type_ of currency, but with decentralized authority.
