For your stamps that are attached to wooden blocks, I remove them from the blocks so I can manipulate them more easily around curved surfaces, and they can be stored more easily. The adhesive will still be on them so you can use them with an acrylic block if you still want the rigidity later on. You can use a piece of parchment paper to keep the adhesive from sticking to other things and getting dirty. Or you can use Goo Gone to remove the adhesive all together. If you remove the adhesive and decide you want it back, you can use Alenes Tack It Over and Over repositionable glue to attach it to a block again. Taking the stamp off those chunky blocks just makes life so much easier for me.

These are so gorgeous, I have always loved Hat boxes, when I lived in England I have fond memories of visiting my aunt & uncle I would often stay for the weekend, My favourite pass time was playing dress up with my aunts Hats & dresses She had beautiful chiffon dresses, My aunt always looked delicate & glamorous, We would go shopping on the Saturday stop by a tea shop where they had pretty cakes.I have some round boxes in my craft room waiting for just this project. Hi Lisa, what good timing this video is for me. I just picked up a couple of round boxes from the thrift store the other day and I’ve been sitting there looking at them wondering what I can do with them. Ive got a lot of lace at the moment and I’ve got some really nice paint colours also. I have some nice stamps too, if I can find them, I searched for half a day yesterday and the only one I can find is the latest one I bought which is 2 birds on a branch but I’ve got other script ones and music note ones and others but can’t for the life of me find where I’ve put them. How can I lose them in a smallish bedroom when I don’t have a great deal in here. I also lost some jewellery that I purchased and got engraved for my granddaughter’s birthday that is coming up very soon but I must have been dreaming last night and woke up in the middle of the night and remembered where they were. I’m hoping that happens with my stamps cos the rest of mine are still in storage. Not happy cos I’ve bought some really nice ones in the last few weeks. Anyway Lisa, thank you for this very timely video. I love all your boxes that you made and the beautiful colours you’ve used. I think I’ll also go and buy some smaller gift boxes to use also. I love hat boxes, they bring a romantic bygone era that appeals to me plus they function well for storage. The colors are all so attractive and the lace for texture was a great idea. That pink lace you found was gorgeous! Even the piece you cut off could have been glued around the top edge and looked fabulous! I can’t find the “I See Paris” stamps on Amazon. I noticed while you were using the washi tape, it pulled your pain off the small hat box. How did you combat that? Would a primer help with that since the original finish was slick?

Lisa these hat boxes are beautiful but I’m a tad partial to shabby chic. I’ve recently picked up some at an estate sale and plan on selling these but I have ZERO idea what to price them at, can you tell me an estimated price you would charge on one that’s around 15”? I realize every state is different but I need at least an idea.
